What is going on with FordPass?

If I have a trip, and I need to get to 100%, I set it to "Charge when plugged in", then check my Sense home monitor to see the charging amps ramp up. We don't have time of use electricity, so it gives me piece of mind, I won't wake up to a car that didn't charge overnight. Which has happened to me twice.....

You can just leave your normal home schedule. When you go on a trip or want it charged to 100% open fordpass tap waiting to charge (or charging) at the bottom when plugged in and tap charge to 100%. That should do it.

Set it in the car.
Last night I set it in the car to charge to 80% between 12 and 6am it said it would finish At 4:17. Got up at 7am and it was still charging to 100%. Went to the car and it said it was charging to 50%. WTF is wrong with this car.

At 7 am what state of charge (SOC %) was the battery at? What was the start SOC?

When did it start to charge? At 12 am or some other time? I would make it earlier until I see what is going on.

How long does it take to go up 10% now? Is it that the schedule did not work or just real slow charging?

You are now setting everything in the car and not using the app?

I would turn the phone off (kill the app and no background access) and work in the car. May not be the problem but it is extra you do not need right now. My phone told me last charge the second it started the schedule on time it would not meet the window. That was not right and all worked well. Forget the app and try to get the car to work. App is not required to run the car and never take FP seriously ;)

The SOC was at 50% when I scheduled the charge. All was fine in the car and I looked at FP to see if it matched and it did. I checked a few times in the evening just to be sure it didn’t change and all was fine. The charge time is fine 7kw an hour.

When I saw my smart meter in the red at 7am I looked at FP and it said target charge of 80% had been achieved but it was on 99% and still going. I hit the Stop Charging button on FP but it still carried on charging. I had to go and pull the plug out.
I can’t win. FP and car screwy. It’s going back to the dealer again next week and they are talking about replacing some module.

Still showing FP screen shots which are really not relevant to how the car is working? Who cares what the app says or does not do at this stage as long as the car works as expected. Go out and hit the stop button on the car and quit using the phone is my first recommendation.

You have now set the schedule up in the car? Deleted it, reestablished it as a new location and set the schedule in the vehicle again to see in that helped.

Car was going to 100% is the problem and did not stop at 80%. Not sure if it started on schedule at 12 am.

FordPass status is not great unfortunately. Usually it's charged perfectly fine it just didn't update the server appropriately.
