Well after owning EV's for 5 years I finally ended up, for the first time, using a public DCFC. Since then my display is displaying a new line - at least that's when I first noticed it. Can someone please explain what the line with 3 dots and a flag followed by 25 mi means, and is that gray line under it a gauge of some sort? I couldn't find an explanation in the manual. Thanks in advance. btw 2023 mach-e GT, all wheel drive, extended battery if that makes any difference.

EDIT: No luck trying to post the photo. The line I am talking about showed up directly under the guess-o-meter line, which in this case is the little battery icon and the notation of 203 miles, the new line is under that and shows the ...then what look to these old eyes as a starting flag and then 25 mi.

A picture would be helpful. But based on your description, it sounds like you have a destination set in Navigation, or via Android Auto or Car Play. It is just telling you the miles left to your destination. That and it sounds like you are locked out of the full performance of the GT. The line underneath the destination is the performance meter.

What does “locked out of the full performance of the GT” mean? Can it be unlocked?

Cow crossing... Nice.

I had an icon pop up in my Lightning once and never again since and I have absolutely no idea what it was for. it was small, right next to where it would show the tire pressure warning or similar. It's not in any list of display icons that I can find, I don't even know how to best describe it. It was red and almost like a rectangular sad face with rounded corners and a line through it. Wish I had got a picture of it.

They’re called jail bars. And it usually is temporary, and in a lot of cases, temperature related. I don’t have a GT, so I haven’t experienced it personally, just heard about. There a bunch of threads on here about it.

Do you have an overabundance of Cows roaming the streets of Stockholm or something? If that is real, that's real weird!!

I know it's really weird, maybe @Ford Motor Company can share some light?
As I recall, the Icon appeared in connection with a message on the driver display, warning about an obstacle on the road ahead.

Hm, first I've heard about being locked out of high performance on a GT, lower battery charge etc., will cause less performance but...
I do like the "cow" icon, photoshop or not!

Even Google doesn't recognize the sign. The international cattle drive sign shows a completely black cow.

No absolutely not!
That's a American cow crossing the road out side of a crosswalk I believe. There could be an abundance of those for sure.

Being “locked out” is a misnomer. The 2021-2023 GTs have a bonus feature that has been lovingly dubbed the “5 second limit.” It was first discovered with the first world-wide delivery of a 2021 GT owned by @0t60-3.5 in 2021. Basically, at a high State of Charge from a standstill, the car has 5 seconds of full power, when the car starts limiting power. This also happens any time from a roll at 73 mph or at other intervals at lower speeds depending on load, duration of load, and HV battery SoC. ??

2024 and newer GTs lack this bonus feature. They have a less effective limiter that kicks in somewhere past 11.8 seconds (past the quarter mile). You could say that Ford botched the limiter from 2024 onward. ??
