From the trends in this thread I feel like I should be petitioning y’all to help underwrite this poor teacher’s impassioned purchase! Honestly the MME will be my 3rd electric lease but definitely going to be the most expensive.
?

It'll be by far my most expensive vehicle too. Our two 2013 Escapes were in the low $30's (and to be completely honest, we didn't even really pay for those, as we traded cars I won in casino drawings to get the Escapes instead, which is what we really wanted). The last vehicle I paid directly out of pocket for was a 2001 Escape, and it was a used Hertz vhicle (paid about $15k IIRC).

Writing that $55k check is gonna make me swallow hard, even if I should get about $10k back indirectly through state and federal tax credits.

I am. When you purchase yours, please accept a $7,500 gift which you may use to write down your tax bill ?

If it’s true that ford will give the option to roll the federal credit into the lease payment, it won’t be that far off from what I pay for my BotEV now

I guess this might be good as a poll, but boy there would be a lot of choices, so I guess we'll do this free-form :) I saw a few posts here and there about Mach E buyer's occupations, so thought I'd spin a dedicated thread for it. I'm curious about the mix of technology occupations vs. non technology occupations among buyers. On the surface, I would hypothesize most BEV buyers would be techies, but let's find out! I'll start off --

Software Engineer

Hi everyone!! I’m a Nurse and this also will be by far the most expensive vehicle I have ever purchased. I’m driving a 2013 Prius that only cost 23K. I’m jokingly referring to this purchase as my personal midlife crisis! But very excited about the tech and sass this vehicle brings!!!
