70 mph continuously until I got to zero. I was literally just driving to test the range so I was real careful to only do exactly 70. Except where I had to do u-turns I was doing big loops on the highway
Did you keep trying to drive beyond 0? It's a really bad idea but one of the brave testers here did it and they went beyond the "zero" mark

No I stopped pretty much right when it said zero the battery still showed 3.3 so I assume I could have kept going and used to those 3.3 because I think that graph is usable remaining but I think it's kind of rotten that Ford shows 0% with usable remaining available. Not even counting the bottom buffer that's also there but invisible

Again, it is not "rotten" but industry standard practice for 50+ years

That is standard in nearly every vehicle no matter gas, diesel, hybrid, electric, hydrogen, whatever

right, but it actually will keep going. it's not recommended but it can.
I didn't try that. I got that message and I thought it was the end. I guess I'll go do circles in the parking lot and see how far I can go after I get that message maybe I'll find those missing kilowatt hours lol I don't think they should be hidden below zero though that's not fair to say 70 usable if it says 0 miles remaining on the dashboard.

So you're saying there is two bottom buffers. There's a bottom buffer below zero that's usable and then there's the battery protection buffer also beyond that. That makes sense... I just want to know how to get to this elusive 247 number I thought the Ford EPA numbers were pretty accurate? Tesla's were always inflated but I thought Ford was closer than this on the previous model year. I expected to get closer to 247 that's what I'm disappointed in I don't really care where they hide their buffers I just wish I could get closer to 247 without having to go below zero and pray.

This is the EPA "highway" drive: https://www.epa.gov/sites/default/files/2015-10/hwfetdds.gif

It never goes above 60, I think that's probably an important difference that easily explains your numbers. (Other things include temperature and wind. I assume the test range is flat? so probably not that.)

Overall efficiency 2.7 I recorded that test on my YouTube channel if anybody wanted to check the accuracy.
Watch a youtube video? Hard pass my man. Hard pass. But you gave me the answer I needed. As stated in the posts above mine 2.7 is on the low side for efficiency - and you got just about the expected range out of your battery.

Try to drive like @MidwestElectric they are clearly averaging above 4.0

Interesting! This is the first useful response I've gotten thank you. Maybe I'll redo my test at 60 just for grins this weekend.
