I would like to know what the rationale is for BlueCruise seeming to prefer the right side of a lane, or is that an optical illusion and the vehicle is actually centered in the lane and just appears to be further to the right because of the large object on the right in close proximity?
I've wondered about the possibility that the hugs-the-right phenomenon is an optical illusion too. My wife was riding with me on the freeway recently and from the passenger seat she thought BCHF was hugging the left!

Sounds like Park Assist. A worthless feature that never gets used. Changing lanes isn't that hard. IMO, if people can't be bothered to make a lane change themselves then they shouldn't get behind the wheel.
The lane change feature in Supercruise sounds less than worthless. I've read that the system can't see traffic speed in adjacent lanes, so it will change lanes into slower traffic and then freak out.

I'm not paying for any silly subscription features. Either put it in my car and I'll pay for the option, or don't, but I don't need to be nickle'd and dime'd.

I test drove a friend's Tesla M3P with "FSD" and lane changing and found the feature to be sucky. I didn't like having the car decide where to squeeze in between other cars on the freeway, and I felt very out of control. (Mind you, I have no issue whatsoever using BCHF, but I really don't mind changing lanes myself.)

I do understand the idea of subscription for some features. For example, SiriusXM. Since BlueCruise relies on mapped highways and the maps are changing and updated all the time, and they provide real-time traffic information, and they provide feature updates, I think it’s reasonable to have a subscription component for some BlueCruise components.
