Window buttons breaking

I have had 2 of the window buttons snap in half - both on the passenger side. I don't have kids in the car, so nobody has played with those buttons, and they aren't used that often, given we mostly use the A/C. It's a 2021 Premium that is 2 months out of warranty and Ford is telling me that, while the part is cheap ($16), the labor will be over $500 - and Ford is refusing to cover it.

I button breaking "might" be considered bad luck or "wear and tear" - but 2 breaking really feels like it was manufactured badly.

Anyone else having this issue?

Happened to us on the driver side - multiple buttons actually. Super sharp. Not covered by extended warranty, but our service dealer worked with us to keep it to $100. I plan on reporting it to Ford as a safety issue since it cut my SO's fingers.
