So the Valley of the Sun peeps know how intense the Sun is in PHX. Has anyone tinted their MME windows and/or roof?
On my brief test drive last Sunday it seemed fine and I don't think the windows were tinted.
Summer may change everyone's mind. ?

I'm in a "Wait and See" mode. I definitely will get a sun shade from the front windshield, that helps. The glass roof is hot to the touch but I don't feel heat on my body through it.

At the very least I'll probably get tint on the side windows just to match the darkness of the factory tint on the back. On my C-Max I put practically clear tint on the front windshield that helps a lot with the heat. Summer may dictate I do that, but then again this window is supposed to have an Infrared coating. At least in the Premium model.

Yeah, the coatings and the laminated glass are making me wonder about the need. I've tinted every other vehicle I've driven in AZ.
Have you found any custom windshield shades for the MME yet? I have a Covercraft for my Malibu that works great, but they don't make one for the MME yet.

I Am going to do passenger and driver door to mach rear side doors. Mine is star WHT and I think that will look OK. I haven't read of
anyone having heat issues with the roof or front windshield. I did read a post sometime ago about the driver and passenger's window letting in alot of heat.
I think the guy was from arizona same as you. Does tinting windows even make a big difference there???

I have an appointment to tint my front door glass and a header across the windshield. Nothing planned yet for the panoramic roof. Doesn't seem to bother me yet.....

I was in contact with a company (see information here). @Saltine graciously had their car measured.

I have to look up the part numbers. I'll try to do that when I get home.

At some point in time, if the car is just sitting parked, the temperature equalizes. The tint basically slows the heating of the interior of the car. (Quality tint also offers UV protection which will prevent fading/cracking of interior components.) The real benefit comes when driving and the sun is shining through a window on you. It makes a huge difference there.

I haven't had my car long enough to say one way or the other. This is the weather forecast, so later this week will be the best time I guess (until the 116 days).

They should be coming by in the next day or so to double check the fit. Once they are done I'll post some pictures of them and attach a link.

I would say the front door glass for sure needs tint. On my test drive last week I could definitely feel a difference compared to my car right now with tinted front windows. I don't think the roof needs it though.

Has anyone figured out the approximate tint % is on the rear windows from the factory? I'd like to match the fronts.

Here are the links for the Sunshades and the floor mats that they do. I personally prefer the accordion style shade as it's easier to put away and stays in place better. The sun flaps on the Mach-E are further back from the window in any car that I've had before so it's a little hard to use them to help hold a shade in place. The shades and mats are all high quality and I can recommend them.
