Windows up/dwn confusing

Hello. Can anyone explain to me what the deal is with the up/down with all of my windows. When my window is up (any of them) and I want to make it go down, I push down and it goes down. When I want it to stop going down I let go of the down button and it stops. This works no problem. The issue I am having is when I want to make the window go up. I pull the button to go up and the window will either, 1) go up as I would expect, or 2) go up approx 1 inch then go down and keep going down while I am pulling the button to go up. I have to stop pulling the button, let the window stop going down then pull up on the button to go up and then it will go up. All of my windows do this. I thought it was just me, but a passenger I was with in my car noticed the same thing ?‍
