I had a small crack in the dash side (bottom) of my windshield. My blue cruise was used after the crack was there and before I had it replaced. So, my camera was just fine after the small crack.
After having it replaced, my camera would not calibrate. I took it to the dealership and they did a module update, which they charged me for so that it could be calibrated. It still didn’t calibrate. Safelite came out and replaced my windshield with an EOM and still no calibration. Has anyone had this issue. How am I proceeding now?

This sounds like a Safelite issue to me.

1. The camera worked before they replaced the windshield
2. The camera did not work after they replaced the windshield, even after Ford recalibrated the camera

I suspect that Safelite may have messed up the coax cable. It's their job to make sure everything is working as as it was before, including doing the recalibration. I'd go back to them and make sure it is working before they give it back to you, including reimbursing you for the cost of the Ford recalibration.

Good luck!

I just had my windshield replaced by Safelite (dealers around here do not touch glass).

They charged me a separate line item for "Calibration" and I ask the guy what that does. He said they purchased specialized software from Bosch that can do it, and it works for multiple brands of cars.
He generated a certificate saying the calibration was successful, and everything is working fine afterwards.

Agree with above post about coax cable. If they pinched or tugged that cable even a tiny bit, no amount of "calibration" is going to fix it. They'll have to remove the glass and correct or replace the coax cable.

True story, a Safelite tech replaced my windshield and failed to apply a bead of adhesive all the way around my windshield such I was able to slide a piece of paper between the inside and outside of my car. Posted the pic on the Safelite Facebook page. The next tech who came out explained the failure in detail along with some story how the previous tech quit the next day.

From my experience, each Safelite location is *highly* variable in the quality of work they do. Search on Google reviews *by location* and maybe you can find one that does good work.

I drove past two other closer locations so that I could have the repair done at the place with awesome google reviews.

My Safelite experience has been amazing. I am now wondering if the tablet he was using to calibrate was wrong?? I was driving on the freeway this morning and put the blue cruise on just to see if it worked and it does. So, I am not sure what that means but the front camera would have to be calibrated for it to work.??‍♀

Do you have hands free blue cruise? If yes, then your front camera is working just fine. What makes you think a calibration is necessary?

I had my windshield replaced twice in the last few weeks and neither Safelite or the Ford dealership could get a calibration with their tablets.
