I've been dealing with this issue for a while now, hoping that it was a software issue, but the issue persists.

My iPhone is setup as wireless, but my partner's iPhone uses the USB port to plug in if she want's to use CarPlay/play music on her phone.

The issue is, it seems like every bump, or seemingly nothing significant, causes it to disconnect, then reconnect a few seconds later. It gets frustrating since it just makes music/navigation really choppy. I've tried different USB lightning cables, bother regular USB and USB C. The issue continues.

Is it possible the USB block under the console is faulty? Do I bring it in for warranty? I hate bringing things in for warranty and its always "we have to replicate the issue" - there's always a chance it behaves perfect when it's being examined.

Anyone else experience this problem?

CarPlay worked for us until the last update. Now it is 50-50 whether wired or wireless. As soon as another update is a bit more stable, I’ll probably kill the auto updates on the car.

iPhone 13 Pro Max with the latest patches applied. Apple certified cables.

Interesting. Good to know I’m not the only one. Both our phones are iPhone 13 Pros.
Im just wondering if it’s the usb port/module. Other Ford vehicles have had issues with them from what I’ve seen.

Have you tried cleaning out the lightning port on the phone? I have found my lightning port periodically needs cleaning. It ends up with a bunch of lint in the port that prevents the cable from fully seating. I go at it with the pointy end of a plastic floss pick. Usually many floss picks before I manage to pull all the lint out.
