Hello fellow Mach E members. I’m Jannick, the engineer who somehow “volunteered” (read: got peer‑pressured by enthusiasm) to lead the BSKT ULTIMATE Project.

I’ve owned a bunch of BSKT parts over the years. the Rally Wing in carbon still makes me smile every time I walk up to the car, and I’ve been lurking in BSKT facebook group since the early days.

About a year ago, I installed the V3 on my Mach‑E here in Denmark. Since then it’s survived almost two winters, daily driving, sideways rain, sideways snow, and whatever that horizontal ice mist thing is that Denmark calls weather. It’s still running perfectly. But let’s be real: I know some units failed. Every generation I’ve owned has failed at some point. I’m an engineer, I won’t sugarcoat anything.

Which brings us to the ULTIMATE Project 2026.

The mission for the ultimate Pony is simple fix everything. Every weak point, every annoying quirk, every “why is this wet,” every “why is this warm,” every “why is this blinking like it’s sending Morse code.” Your Pony should shine like it’s auditioning for a Ford commercial, not like it’s asking for help.

After months of engineering, testing, and more validation cycles than my espresso machine sees in a year, we reverse‑engineered the original GT Pony and rebuilt ours the same way but stronger.

ULTIMATE production kicked off on February 7th and will be ready in about a month.

For context: I’ve collected every generation of light‑up pony since the early John Kennedy Kickstarter era. I’ve stress‑tested them, drowned them, frozen them, baked them, diagnosed seal failures, and once survived a catastrophic meltdown that turned my paint into something between modern art and a cry for help. I’ve seen everything from “pretty good” to “please don’t let this near my car.”

All of that experience went straight into the BSKT ULTIMATE Pony.

In this thread, I’ll walk you through the whole saga: installation, sealing, materials, electronics, thermal behavior, longterm durability, and realworld performance. BSKT calls this their toughest generation yet. and for once, the marketing department isn’t exaggerating.

I’m supporting the project through and throug, purely because I want this thing to finally be bulletproof.

And yes before you ask, it comes with a lifetime warranty. They’re confident, and honestly… so am I. I believe that BSKT Design have finally cracked the code. So please stay tuned for the future of your light up pony .

Ultimate 2026

I will say, I had some issues with the original set, as one of the unlucky few, but they sent me replacements and took all feedback very seriously.

I have a mechanical and electrical background and I can tell where some of the points of failure lie. The hardest thing for a fresh iteration is real world testing, which takes more than a year or two in all sorts of environmental battlegrounds. I put the original through some tough stuff here in NY. The adhesion didn't quite like all the salt and freezing, but to be fair not much lasts up here. I keep my car outside and have to wash it regularly to keep a layer of protectant up.

They were very diligent on the uptake of info, and put effort into researching the best way to enviro-proof the newest iteration.

I am on board for the ULTIMATE, and looking forward to all the hard work the team has put into designing it. Will be following up with a review once I get mine and put it through the gauntlet!

While some Ford Mach-E owners have reported hiccups with their aftermarket lighted ponies, my personal experience with BSKT has been nothing short of seamless. Though I’ve heard whispers of technical issues within the community, it’s reassuring to know that BSKT has been proactive in honoring their warranties and taking care of their customers.

Perhaps I’m just lucky, or perhaps the fact that my Mach-E is garage-kept has shielded the electronics from the elements, but my original set has performed flawlessly.

Even with a perfectly functioning set, I recently decided to pull the trigger on a Pony upgrade. While the original quality was already impressive, the new feature set was too tempting to pass up. These lighted emblems are, in my opinion, the single best way to make the Mach-E stand out; they add a "cool factor" that really defines the car's presence on the road.

The standout selling point for this new iteration is the lifetime warranty. We all know that LEDs generally boast an incredible life expectancy, but electronics can be unpredictable—they work perfectly until, suddenly, they don’t. Having that lifetime guarantee removes any lingering "what-if" anxiety.

BSKT continues to prove they are a leader in the Mach-E modding space. Between the high build quality and their commitment to standing behind their products, I’m excited to see what other modifications they have in the pipeline. If you’re looking to elevate your Mustang’s aesthetic, this is a brand that seems to be growing in the right direction.

Shipping Update — Lunar New Year Edition
Ford Mustang Mach-E BSKT Ultimate Project Technical review 160541-f8faa2e522d4ab5841d09258a1519eed

As many of you know, China is currently celebrating the Lunar New Year — and this year’s star is The Horse, which feels very on‑theme for our illuminated Ponies!

Because of the two-week holiday, UPS is temporarily closed, and although all ULTIMATE Ponies are fully ready, we can only begin shipping at the end of this month.

UPS also informed us that when they closed for the celebrations, they still have 25,000+ packages waiting to be processed.

This means it may take 1–2 weeks for our Ponies to actually be shipped once UPS reopens. We know it’s not ideal, but we prefer to be fully transparent.

The good news is: your ULTIMATE passed all testings, Pony is built, glowing beautifully, and just waiting for its turn to fly.

Thank you for your patience and for being part of this amazing community.

The ULTIMATE is worth the wait! We are very much looking forward to seeing the ULTIMATE on your Mach‑E and welcome you as a member of the ULTIMATE Crew.

Looking great. I am thinking of replacing my front/rear pony's I got last year due to some issues and wanted to ask a couple questions on the new design.
1) I see the rear pony is supposed to interfere less with the rear camera. Does the front pony still interfere with the front camera to the same amount.
2) Is the ridged body of the pony the same construction as the old ones? My rear one popped off but I found it and glued it back on.
3) Do you have a video of the rear whisper animation? The videos I have seen are all the same animation that my current rear one has.
4) When lit up is there a visible difference in the black version of the pony compared to the original?

The new ones do look great so far.

txaggies07,

Aaron if the ponies are from Bskt, we’re happy to send you the rear ultimate for free when you purchase the new front pony.

Hello everyone!

This is my first update, and the next ones will come once I receive the finalized product. As most of you know, UPS only opens at the end of the month, so I’ll be getting mine at the same time as all of you.

I am an engineer and I’m collaborating on the ULTIMATE project.
So, what are you seeing in the video?
Heat Dissipation Openings: Why They Matter
As the engineer supervising the light up pony project, I want to highlight the importance of the two heat dissipation openings we added to the design. Proper thermal management is key to keeping the LEDs cool, stable, and long lasting. These openings let the system breathe, prevent heat buildup, and eliminate hotspots that could affect performance. The result is smooth, consistent illumination even during long drives or extended use.

I hope this gives an understanding of how much that goes into developing such a product. It isn’t as easy as 1 2 3. We wanted to make sure that this pony will last. And with the heat dissipation openings that will keep the flow of the circuit cooler and making sure it isn’t overheating, this is something we Haven’t considered until now until we build the ultimate pony.

How are heat dissipation openings impacted by salt water / slush sprayed on messy roads?
