Hello fellow Mach E members. I’m Jannick, the engineer who somehow “volunteered” (read: got peer‑pressured by enthusiasm) to lead the BSKT ULTIMATE Project.
I’ve owned a bunch of BSKT parts over the years. the Rally Wing in carbon still makes me smile every time I walk up to the car, and I’ve been lurking in BSKT facebook group since the early days.
About a year ago, I installed the V3 on my Mach‑E here in Denmark. Since then it’s survived almost two winters, daily driving, sideways rain, sideways snow, and whatever that horizontal ice mist thing is that Denmark calls weather. It’s still running perfectly. But let’s be real: I know some units failed. Every generation I’ve owned has failed at some point. I’m an engineer, I won’t sugarcoat anything.
Which brings us to the ULTIMATE Project 2026.
The mission for the ultimate Pony is simple fix everything. Every weak point, every annoying quirk, every “why is this wet,” every “why is this warm,” every “why is this blinking like it’s sending Morse code.” Your Pony should shine like it’s auditioning for a Ford commercial, not like it’s asking for help.
After months of engineering, testing, and more validation cycles than my espresso machine sees in a year, we reverse‑engineered the original GT Pony and rebuilt ours the same way but stronger.
ULTIMATE production kicked off on February 7th and will be ready in about a month.
For context: I’ve collected every generation of light‑up pony since the early John Kennedy Kickstarter era. I’ve stress‑tested them, drowned them, frozen them, baked them, diagnosed seal failures, and once survived a catastrophic meltdown that turned my paint into something between modern art and a cry for help. I’ve seen everything from “pretty good” to “please don’t let this near my car.”
All of that experience went straight into the BSKT ULTIMATE Pony.
In this thread, I’ll walk you through the whole saga: installation, sealing, materials, electronics, thermal behavior, longterm durability, and realworld performance. BSKT calls this their toughest generation yet. and for once, the marketing department isn’t exaggerating.
I’m supporting the project through and throug, purely because I want this thing to finally be bulletproof.
And yes before you ask, it comes with a lifetime warranty. They’re confident, and honestly… so am I. I believe that BSKT Design have finally cracked the code. So please stay tuned for the future of your light up pony .
