Frunk Lighting Installed -- Mounted LED lighting kit to frunk lid liner

I got tired of the crummy lighting in the frunk. So, I got an LED lighting kit and mounted it to the frunk lid liner. It’s wired into the lighting circuit so that it comes on automatically and I installed a cutoff switch. ??

It looks great! What is that access cove you install for the battery contacts? Looks really slick!

Well done! Yours must draw a lot less current than mine; when I connected mine to the light circuit it was not a good thing. That’s why I ended up pulling directly from the 12V battery (through a fuse and a couple cutoff switches)…

Yeah, I measured the two fixtures in series and they used <240mA. I figured that wouldn’t trip the circuit. I was thinking I might need to toss a power control circuit in there to control the lighting until I measured the two fixtures. I just wish I could hide the little pigtail that is along the driver’s side hood hinge better. ?‍

The wires go in between the two layers of the hood through the hole at the top of the photo. After that it’s completely hidden.

So, coming off the side mirrors are puddle lights. Are these poodle lights? ? ?
