As you know, Ford removed Active Park Assist in 2022 due to a chip issue. Thanks to user Jesse-Infotainment from the f150 forum, I learned that the NV7424-0 LIN chip is missing from the IPMA module.

Below is a photo of that user's modules with and without the chip.

If you have a MY22 car, there is a 99.9% chance that the chip will be missing. If you have a MY23, it depends on the IPMA module. If the starting P/N begins with L (I have already encountered such a car, manufactured in 2022, but model year 2023), then this chip will be missing. But my module was with the P series (PJ8T-14G647-FDG) and it had this chip (photo below).

How to check P/N of IPMA module:
Connect vehicle via Forscan->in the top open Configuration tab->find IPMA module->observe P/N

So, all I had to do was activate APA, for which I used As built Explorer to compare VINs and find differences in modules.
If you don't have the chip, you can solder it in (it costs a few dollars on Aliexpress - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008589761898.html) or buy an IPMA that already has this chip. Naming of this product "1pc NV7424-0 for BMW FEM Module Communication Module IC Chip"
Or you can search NV7424-0

Next, you just need to make changes in Forscan.
I performed the described actions in sequence, in this order.

SOBDMC
7E6-01-01 x3xx xxxx xx

IPMA
706-01-01 xxxx x2xx xx--
706-02-01 xx73 xxxx xx--
706-02-01 xxxx xxxx 8x--
706-12-01 xxBC xxxx xx--
706-13-01 xxCx xxxx xx--

IPC
720-01-01 xxxx xxxx x4--

APIM
7D0-08-01 Exxx xxxx xx--
7D0-08-01 xxxx xxxB xx--

PSCM
730-03-01 xxFF xxxx xx--

I'm not sure about the steps below, but I did it:
Service Procedure (left menu 5th icon from top) ->
BdyCM Local Interconnect Network New Module Calibration
IPMA Local Interconnect Network New Module Calibration

Upd. @DeusEx confirmed that you can skip steps with New Module Calibration.

Reset modules via Forscan (APIM, PSCM, IPMA, SOBDMC)
AFTER ALL, IT'S NECESSARY TO RESTART THE VEHICLE A FEW TIMES AND DRIVE 1-2 miles and reach a speed of 30-35 MPH.

I have a 2023 MY Mach-E second-half-year build with the updated Blue Cruise (1.4 was the upgrade at that time). How do I tell if I have the P-Series you are referring to? Thanks,

I don't think anywhere close to all MY 2022 Mach Es lack the feature. (E.g., my Feb 2022-built: Do I have it? Yes. Do I use it? No. 🤣). Sometime around mid-2022 Ford started offering (IIRC) $350 price reduction for the missing feature. Prior to that, '22s have it.

Out of curiosity, have you made the needed changes using FORScan and does your can now have the feature working?

Another feature that was decontented in 2022 was kick-to-open for the liftgate. Ford turned it off for all 2022s, even though many were built with the needed module. I activated it years ago and use it every time I open the back.

Open forscan, connect to the vehicle, open Configuration tab in the top and find IPMA
After you can see which part number of your module, also added this info to the first post

Yes, I made changes via forscan, and now working, I also added video

Kick to open - I think that module and antenna missing in my vehicle, I'll check it later

So to be clear, you swapped your IPMA for one that had the chip? Then made the as-built changes in FORScan? Also, can you specify the chip name in text, your Aliexpress link is broken.

Yes, that little chip was holding up a bunch of cars back then in late 2021 and early 2022. I believe it's the one that communicates with the ultrasonic sensors on the side of the car (which are present but unused without that chip). Each chip can talk to four sensors. Ford prioritized that chip for front and rear sensors only (the identical ones next to it on the board) to ship more cars.

Early 2022 build cars should have it, along with the kick to open sensor.

Hello, thank you for clarifying that the link does not work. I edited it and added a text name and photo. In general, on Ali, you should search for the name NV7424-0.
No, I didn't change my IPMA module. I already had this chip. From what I saw, this chip is in the MY23 car, with an IPMA module part number starting with P (I wrote the full P/N in my post).
For early MY22, it is best to remove the IPMA module and check inside for the presence of this chip. I have also provided a photo showing where it is located.

It was the same for me with MY2023, before I activated it, but TBH I don't know if it will fit for 2025, for research I need EU/CN 2025 vehicle VIN, as I did with MY2023, I compared to EU 2023, which has APA.
Awesome! I'll have to check my APIM. So do you side sensors function now on screen?
IPMA, not APIM :) Which year and month of production? I can say that now, all 12 sensors are working, when before only 8 were enabled. Yesterday I didn't have enough time to check how it displayed on screen, in "default mode/casual drive", but I can tell that when I enable APA by button and the vehicle is searching for a parking spot, side sensors are displayed on screen and displayed distance. Will try to take a photo today

It's a fun party trick, for scaring your friends, yourself, and anyone else that watches the car try to back into everything around it
I had this feature on my 2015 F-150 Lariat with tech package. I was in Nashville with kids and grandkids and wanted to get into a space on Broadway. I'd never used the feature before then. It was perfect. Truck sized up the spot and put me right in there.....literally in a parking spot I would not have thought the truck could get into.

The problem came when it was time to leave.....I had to get the kids out to the front and rear to make sure I wasn't going to ding anything while trying to get out of the space the truck so expertly got me into.

I have this feature on my '22 Lightning now, but haven't had a need to use it (at least I'm pretty sure it's there ). I remember back in 2015 or 16 somebody on the forums (Livinitup maybe?) had FORScan changes that would also allow the "Park Out" function as well as getting you into the spot. I enabled that as well as the parallel parking feature, but after trying that out I realized just why that had never been enabled from the factory. It was a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I also had this feature on my '21 MME and I did use it once. Worked fine and I had no issues getting out of that space since it was a lot bigger than the car needed.

I do miss the kick to open on my '23 model though. I used that all the time on my '21 model with both hands full with groceries.

So is just having the correct IPMA part number enough of an assumption that one could reasonably expect that the necessary chip is there (without having to actually open the case and look)?

Yes, enough, I added info in the first post - how to recognize your part number using forscan
