My wife and I just bought a black, hail damaged Rally with 9 miles on the odometer. It was a deal we couldn't pass up! Now for the hard part, getting our new car looking like new.
1. We assume that with the good signifiantly hail damaged the easiest path is to purchase either a salvage hood, after market new hood or Ford OEM hood. Any experience with any of the three options would be appreciated.
2. The roof is significantly hail damaged and an OEM roof is only about $250, so that seems to be an easy yes. Do you agree? Should we have it wrapped vs painted?
3. The doors and fenders have scattered damage that seems repairable. I've done a little DIY paint free dent repair. Is it worth having an expert do it given the number of panels impacted or should I attempt to fix the easy to reach ones and have the pros do the more challenging locations?
Any advice is welcome especially if you have gone through a hail damage repair or are a body shop pro. Thank you from Tampa, FL.
