Have you even seen the price of shrimp lately?? Surely some of those "highly skilled" ford techs are cheaper per hour than a pound of shrimp.
Truth be known, the forum avatar cat is no longer with us, and as good as the Ford Engineers are at delivering, they’re not that good. ;)

Ford mobile service just left and updated the recall. Took maybe 30 mins.
I took it to my dealer first thing this morning, and they said they couldn't guarantee how long it would take, and they may need my car for a "few days" without offering a loaner.

Called another dealer, and they said something similar. It should take about 4 hours, but they couldn't guarantee it would be done in a day.

Taking it to a third dealer who is open on Saturday, because I need a vehicle on weekdays. I like the idea of 30 minutes, but I have a 21, so maybe it's longer.

Thanks for the insight.

I applied the updates myself but apparently still have to have Ford officially clear the recall. I called a local dealer and they insisted on sending out mobile service.

Mobile service was here about 5 minutes. They verified the updates were already applied, retrieved the software verification code I had generated, updated it in whatever is the additional system, and were on their way.

Overall a positive experience, well as long as the recall actually clears.

I had dealer upload this update to address this recall but afterwards we noticed that something consistently continues to run a few minutes after car turned off and we exit. It didn't used to do this. Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone know what it is? A cooling pump?

that sounds to me like the update working as intended. the DCDC converter is on during that time and depending on the temperature, the coolant loop will be going.

My appointment was last Tuesday for the 25S65 recall. The dealer had my car for about 4 hours before texting me that it was done. The recall just finally dropped out of FordPass this morning (one week and two days later). I was getting ready to call the SA and ask if the tech cleared me in OASIS, but I guess it took a while to cascade into my FordPass acocunt. 🤷‍♂️🐩
