My Ford Pass app is telling me the vehicle is in battery saver mode and to drive it to refresh the status and remote features. I can't get into the car to drive it! Nothing works. Key, phone, passcode, you name it.

Would someone please assist me? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know about or have you tried to get into the car by using the two leads behind the small door on the right side of the front bumper? (It may or may not work because glitches). If it does work you’ll need a battery or another car with jumper cables. You attach the jumper leads to those two leads in the bumper and the frunk pops open. Then you have to remove the panel nearest the windshield and the driver’s side plastic panels ( they are just held on by clips that pull off) in order to reach the 12 volt battery. You can then jump that battery to open the doors. Look it up in the car manual for the precise instructions if you are not familiar. There are lots of posts here about this issue.

I'm taking my 23 in tomorrow for software recall update for this possible problem. Update powertrain control module and secondary on board diagnostics control module.

I'll try it out as soon it stops raining. Thanks

This started right after Ford came to my house to fix things. Makes me wonder if he did something to bring this on.

Sounds like the 12V died. Follow the instructions to open the frunk and jump the battery if you have a jump pack or jumper cables that can reach it from another car.

The mobile service from the dealer may have inadvertently drained the 12V battery if they didn’t hook up a power supply while doing updates and especially if you didn’t drive or charge it for any significant amount of time afterwards.

What year mach-e, and has the 12v battery been replaced before? Because this smacks of a dead 12v.

It will only keep the charging system running for 12 minutes after you turn off the car to give you time to get out and open other doors if you need to get something out of the car before the charging stops but if your 12v battery does go bad while it is running then once the 12 minutes are up and the doors are closed and locked you will not be able to get back in the car without using 12v to open the frunk and then pull panels to get to the 12v battery. It should alert you if the 12v battery health drops so you can change it or get things checked before you are stranded.
