What Big Updates Do You See Coming this Week?

@Ford Motor Company Mentioned that there are more details to be shared this week, alongside the launch of the new app, in the Fordpass 6.0 update thread.

This seems to follow information from @Mathington received earlier this year stating a decent OTA should be landing shortly.

Seems exciting, wish ford would tease there software development more. Regardless, what are people's speculation or hopes!?

Your 2025 will likely get some big OTA updates, but I think the 2021-2024 models may be end of life for OTA updates. The new BC hardware for auto lane changes and your updated shifter stalk are reason enough to fragment updates into pre and post 2025 buckets.

Call me an optimist but I have hope that new features will be for all year models.

The BC hardware limitations make's sense to me, but UI updates should be streamlined IMO.

We will have to wait and see I guess!

Quite a few people have had discounted prices for BlueCruise show up in the Ford App. Maybe Ford is going to merge all connectivity, nav, and BC into one subscription? Or revamp their subscriptions in some other way?

That would actually be smart and amazing! Like Apple One almost where I can sign up for multiple service at one low discounted price.

PaaK works great. 2 1/2 years with only minor issues. FP (or just Ford now) recently added climate control after you turn on climate remotely. That’s something I really appreciate. There is usually a good reason when some feature is removed and not brought back.

Well considering this was a response to my comment that changing the major version number of the Ford app for a facelift seemed like pretty weak, I would at least expect some kind of tie in with the Ford app.

If it isn’t something like that I could easily see them pushing the 2025 GUI changes out to the older car years.

Some kind of update schedule that adds features without breaking older models, aka something between Tesla and well, nothing basically, would be nice. I for one would really like both manual battery pre-conditioning, and remembering your choice of the oddly named “L” setting in the gear shifter, since I want more regen every drive, with “L” giving me that, but not only is that forgotten when I stop and restart the car, it’s even forgotten when I switch to reverse and back to drive after maybe a 3-point turn or something. Frankly, not remembering your regen settings is a bit dangerous, because you end up thinking or expecting to be in full regen, only to find that because you did a 3-point turn, it’s now turned off.

Throwing caution to the wind, here is my wish list:

• The 2025 charging screens, including a global state of charge limit, amperage limit, charging speed on screen
• Tesla superchargers and Applegreen chargers in navigation.
• Precondition battery button for manual precondition on road trips.
• Apple Maps with auto preconditioning (I know… two to tango, this isn’t a list for ford to deliver it’s just a list)
• 12v status in ford app
• Plan route in ford app

I suspect that the update will be to the ford app mostly. So just the last two?
