I try to customize my interiors to make them look and feel more upscale, because Ford REFUSES to come out with a Lincoln variant like they currently have on every other Ford SUV.

I've replaced dash, door and steering wheel trim with real forged carbon fiber in satin finish and added a custom steering wheel and center armrest finished in soft leather with Alcantara trim to match the GT seats. Replaced the cheap plastic horn air bag cover with one in leather with the matching silver stitching. I replaced the entire console with one from the China market that is a different style and mostly covered in vinyl with padded sides and sliding covers for the cup and phone charging areas. Have installed tasteful accent and ambient lighting. Added lighting for the rear floor and door storage, glove box, console bin storage and HomeLink visor buttons. Replaced the cheap carpeted floor mats with Lloyds LUX 1/2" thick carpeted mats and sound deadened the entire cabin.

With less plastic trim and reducing the look of multiple different finishes, I'm much happier with it BUT still would like a Lincoln version. 😡
Now it all makes sense… prolly should’ve gone with them Lincoln badges instead of the Ford oval tho…

always impressed by your mods btw, and a huge thanks for your experimenting and guiding us with the springs and sway bars. made a huge difference!

I’ve always said that Ford could come out with a “Lincoln Mark E”, and it would do well (GT-based with a little extra ooomph and all the usual Lincoln luxury bits. Obviously a very different body.)

I think Cadillac has been busy proving you and @markboris right

After checking out the interiors of all the Cadillac EV's a couple of months ago at the SF EV Expo, I did not want to leave their exhibit. I was looking for ways to implement some of their interior design to my car. Lots of soft surfaces all tastefully done. Don't get me wrong, the Mach-E has one of the nicer interiors that Ford has come up with in a long time. I think a big departure from what they have had in the past but they could make a Platinum version of the Premium or maybe an optional luxury interior trim or of course best would be a Lincoln version.

We have been talking about this Jim since we both bought our '21's early on. Here it is 4+ years later and no Lincoln version and no upscale interior for the Mach-E has been offered. Oh, but in China, the interior is more upscale and has more colors and patterns (still not up to Lincoln standards).

I know. Lincoln teased us a while back with the Lincoln Star (?) concept but they failed to deliver 🤷‍♂️

That was too much. They didn't need to spend the time and money on that. Just need a nice upscale version of the Mach-E like Lincoln has done on all the other Ford SUV's.

Let’s hope this paragraph means they’re adding ventilation to the front seats, and a NACS port at a minimum:

What other changes are there for the MY26 lineup? We will be sharing more about the 2026 Mustang Mach-E lineup later this week.

If you are referring to the GT having ventilated front seats, then they would have to change the material to perforated vinyl like the Premium ventilated seats have and I don't see them doing that. Ford does not use cloth for any of their ventilated seats and they always use cloth for their performance style and Recaro seats.
