The windows and trunk/frunk should remain separate from the others because they can’t be used over WiFi like the others.
I disagree - I shouldn’t have to root around in submenus to simply open the frunk. It’s like Ford is actively discouraging Frunk use. To address your concern, they could simply grey out the controls when unavailable.

It’s truly awful. Whomever was in charge of the UI/UX needs to be fired as well as whomever was in charge of testing this pile of garbage

You mean that computer system dating back to the 1960s! I have been in Healthcare IT my entire career, its a wild market, their tech all looks like its from the 90s if not older!

I had been checking Google Play regularly to see if I could update my Ford Pass app for my Android phone and nothing was available. No way to download the new Ford App in Google Play either.

Now it updated on its own overnight to the Ford app for my 2024 Premium

My friend bought his GT a month after me and his had not updated yet. He also checked Ford Pass in google play and and there was no update app option. So it looks like they are rolling out out in their own way.
I just updated the Ford app. I am now on the new UI.

Did you find Ford Pass in google play and the "update" button was available or is the new Ford app now available to download in Google Play?

I asked because when an app doesn't need an update in Android it just says "open" when you pull it up in the Play store

I never saw update as an option when I went to Ford pass or Ford in the Google Play store.

Then I told my friend with a GT that my app updated on its own overnight. So he went to Google Play store and there was no update or install options on either Ford pass or Ford app.

Interesting way to update, or maybe Ford is just doing it by phone types as they figure each Android build.

That caught my attention too. Probably not accurate. You have to reset the driving history from time to time to get a ‘more accurate’ reading from the GOM for your range. When I test drove my ‘25 GT it said it had a 315 mile range at 97% charge. When I reset it at the dealership while taking delivery I rest the setting and got closer to the 280 mile range it’s spec’s for. Currently, at an ambient temp of 52°F and 80% (parked in a non-heated garage I’m showing 213 miles range.
Thanks, but I don't find it worrisome that the GOM is overly optimistic at the moment. I know not to take it at face value.

As the cold weather approaches, the expected range will drop. Mine is an ER RWD (320 mile range) so my numbers will be higher than any GT. I posted a picture last month (as I said then, for giggles) with my one and only 100% charge at 442 miles. I drive the posted speed limit with an occasional burst to pass and rarely do Interstate travel. My longest distance in one day was probably 175 miles.

At nearly 6000 miles my overall average mi/kWh is 4.4.

I checked mine, and play store clearly showed an update button. I used it, and now I am at 6.0.

My FordPass (iOS) hadn't auto-updated yet so I searched for it in the App Store. You can't find FordPass any longer, but you'll see an Open button next to the white icon Ford App. When I clicked open from there it updated my old one.

IMHO, new app is fine. I don't LOVE it, but do like it better than the previous version. All the normal buttons fit on the landing screen and aspect is the same for all our Ford vehicles that have app control.

Thanks, was getting frustrated with the Ford Pass update process since I'm used to the play store showing me that update button.

On iPhone 16 pro I have Display Zoom set to larger text and this is all I see on the first screen!

On the previous version I also submitted a suggestion that all key info and controls need to be on one screen with no scrolling required. I do like the new design except for the waste of space and order of controls that many have mentioned.

Updates are issued by batches by Play Store. He will eventually get it.

Gotta laugh at many of these responses. If Ford mailed gold bars to owners, many would say they are too heavy...

No matter what any company does on anything, people complain. Companies can't win no matter what. But, when Ford got rid of the trip planning (2023?), they promised to bring it back, and haven't. They also had alerts for the doors opening and simply got rid of those to sell the feature as Ford Security, which is BS.

I get that it is a tremendous hardship to hit the Controls button to see the frunk opening or hatch opening buttons. Sometimes, life is so hard.
