I think you may have to enable it. Go to Settings then Maps then Driving. Enable compass

Note... guess the screen reset is the same as the sync reset...

I performed a screen reset and the compass reappeared on the driver's side screen. Don't know if it will hold, but will let you know...

Screen reset: Hold Down the Forward Seek button on the right hand of the steering wheel AND Hold the Volume Down button on the the right of the steering wheel, together, for 10 seconds.

Same problem only comes back if you reboot sync
