I don’t know if it is the same issue with 2021 and 2023. For 2021, which are on a lower sync version (mine 23095) cannot be updated at the moment. Just one more vraag, did you had the new UI (with shortcuts) already from before or you got them after this recall visit to the workshop?

I definitely did not had the latest UI, but I also did not have the first UI. Never used any of the shortcuts, so don't know exactly what is on there. My fob has buttons for trunk and frunk.

When I bought the car it was on SYNC 22326. Till last month the deler kept telling that there were no new updates available. The car did not have ANY update since 2023, but they claimed nothing was available. I'm not sure what their definition of "nothing" is. For the safety recall they had to update several modules, which apparently opened up the route for more updates. It has been at the dealer for two full days, where every time new updates popped up when the previous ones were finished.

After the two days of updates, they ran out of time and wanted to schedule a new appointment. I left the dealer with SYNC 23291. This week I got an OTA to SYNC 22352. I still think it is behind, but at least it is capable of catching up now.

(What could help is to request for Ford Escalation support from your dealer; they form a close loop with the dealer in case of problems where they need Ford support.)

Hi, I am in the Netherlands and struggling with the same NO OTA issue and running a 2021 MME with old software and UI. Had several phone calls with Ford and the dealer but they keep saying that the car is updated and can’t do anything. @Ford Motor Company Can you help us out here ? Nobody is taking this seriously in Europe. Software is everything in an EV and if we can’t have the car updated and then we are better trading it off for other one.
I'll message you and see what I can do to help from my end.

Did you already do your safety recall?

I was on the same boat: never had an update, no bluecruise. My sync version was on 22326 (reported by SYNC screen)

My car dealer was trying to do the recall actions this week, but my car keeps requiring new (old) updates via FDRS before they can do the recall. It is now at the dealer for 3 days!
This morning I got a (automated) mail from Ford, that I could subscribe for bluecruise. Wtf! I checked my sync version (via the Ford website, I still don't have the car back), and it seems 4.0.23291. I'm confused, since I thought the SYNc/APIM versions were on hold, but for sure it triggered something on my car!

Maybe it helps in your case as well!
Recall was completed two weeks ago. Still nothing. Ford Europe got back to me saying their engineers are working on a solution for my Mach-E. Fantastic… I’ve only been dealing with these problems for about two and a half years now. Haha.

@Ford Motor Company On the same boat here as the other Dutch guys. No OTA update for more then a year now. No Bluecruise and no percentage in google maps because i do not have the latest Sync version.

Last week my car was at the dealer and the confirmed to me that they were also surprised that i was on the "older" sync version, but they were unable to update the sync version also as FDRS showed no updates.

Is there anything you could do by contacting the guys in Europe ? Would be much appreciated.

@Ford Motor Company There are many like us facing the issues with old Sync and lack of OTA. Please ask Ford Europe to look into to it seriously.

I have been flagging these with the European team(s). Different countries are on different version roll outs.

This is not about version rollouts. This is about something getting stuck and apparently no one is able to figure out what. My 2023 had been stuck on the same version till now. My dealer somehow managed to trigger an APIM update that opened the door to 2 additional OTA APIM versions in a week. I don't believe that countries release 3 in a week. :).

Lots of customers get the same answer: "we know it's behind, but we don't know why. FDRS does not show ANY update is available".

Don't know what triggered it for me, but after the visit to the dealer I had 4 updates in a week (2x APIM, GWM, ACM).

Don't get me wrong: I really appreciate what you are doing!

There is nothing stuck. Ford has released an SSM to all dealers that many vehicles on Sync 23187 and below are purposely not showing any updates.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Need Help with OTA Updates (or lack of) Untitled

This has been talked about on the forum for months since Ford sent this out to dealers in June and the SSM is still active. There is nothing Brian or your dealer can do. Ford knows, they are working on it and there is no time frame as to when they will release more updates for any and all affected vehciles.

I'm aware of that one, but what about all those years/months before that?

I'm my case it was you who pointed out a problem with the IPMA module. Both dealer and Ford Netherlands were working for months on my car, and both did not come up with this!

Did not know that, so i have sent this PDF to my dealer asking them nicely to sort it out.
They have been very cooperative in the last 4 years regarding my Mach-e so i still have hope it will get fixed somehow.

My apologies......based on the wording I used, it may have seemed like my response was targeted to you, but that was not the case.

Aside from the SSM I mentioned, it is known that vehicles outside the US are limited to how far they can update the Sync modules. Not just Mach E's.......all Ford vehicles. By being on this forum and seeing the US vehicles on Sync 24xxx and 25xxx, this may present itself in a way where you guys are falling behind. While this is true in a sense, this is not by mistake. Ford (for whatever reason) is not sending more updates to Euro spec carson purpose.

I understand you guys' frustration about wanting the newer updates, but until Ford decides to release more for your markets, there is nothing you can do. The dealer cannot help. Brian cannot help. Having FDRS will not help. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but all you can do it wait.

Update time 🎉

After years of nothing, my Mach-E has finally started receiving updates a few days ago. First several BlueCruise-related updates came in, and now I’m officially on Power-Up 10.1.1. 🥰🥰🥰

Everything seems to be working properly so far, and honestly… I still can’t quite believe it. For almost three years, nobody was able to help me. Not Ford Europe, not my local “stealer” 😅

I truly believe this only worked out thanks to Brian @Ford Motor Company . Without him, I’d probably still be stuck. So: thank you, Brian. Seriously.

I’m incredibly happy right now and finally enjoying my Mach-E the way it was promised at purchase.

I’ll be driving to France in the next few days (yes, there’s a Costco there now 🤣🥰) and will properly test BlueCruise on that trip. Really looking forward to it.

Thanks again, Brian.

I’m happy with Ford again 🥰🇺🇸

It was my pleasure getting you the help you needed! Now you can enjoy your Mach-E to its fullest.
