Software Updates - or Lack Thereof

My MME is still on version 2.3 but there are many other updates available. Do I need to wait until it updates automatically or go to the dealer to have them done? My biggest issue is that fast charging still slows down at 80%. My fast charging on an EA 150 kWh max charger is about 35 kWh, not real fast.

Jeebus, I’m glad I passed on my GT reservation last year and bought a gently used Model 3 Perf. I want Ford and GM and all the auto companies to succeed with EVs, but clearly there are teething pains.

Thank you everyone for your comments and suggestions. I did not think that I had the 1.7.1 issue since I have never recieved any update message. Ford checked and I do have a 1.7.1 failed update so I am in that boat. On March 1 they told me to expect that the fix will be rolled out to dealers in one to two weeks.

Almost a year and several trips to the dealer and the automatic software update function still does not work. Was supposed to be fixed in second quarter 2021, then third quarter, then by the end of the year, then January, now February or March.

Reminds me of the young woman who told her psychiatrist that she had been married three time but was still a virgin. Oh my he asked, how can that be?
