Don't you mean Select vs Premium? Unless I'm misreading it, I don't think the battery size or the wheel-drive makes hardly any difference in the features (except for a couple of direct items like max charge rate).

People can get a Premium SR RWD with all the Premium features.
I am UK and what we are getting is different to you in the USA. We are only getting 5 models. SR RWD, ER RWD, SR AWD, ER AWD and First Edition. SR versions are very restricted on their specs and DO NOT come with tech packs. Only ER versions come with tech packs. See for yourself by going to ford.co.uk and try configuring a car.

That really sucks. There's very valid reasons for many people just getting the SR battery. I wonder what their reasoning is for limiting those options there? Like some government regulations that somehow make it advantageous for them to steer people toward the ER there?

SR RWD doesn't come with anything really. I first reserved this version but after seeing the production model that was going round dealers earlier this month and talking to the team about it I realized that I wasn't getting the specs that I thought I would get. SR AWD doesnt come with a lot either. The only versions to get the Tech packs are the ER versions, unless this changes, so I changed my reservation to a ER RWD
Exactly the same thing happened to me. Went with SR RWD then saw that it was pretty bare boned, and managed to persuade myself up to the ER AWD ?

I am not aware of any government regulations that cause this situation. Mainland Europe options are better. I think they have more options. We in UK don't get any optional extras. SR RWD is just a very basic car. SR AWD does come with better seats and folding mirrors. The only versions that come with the tech pack options are the ER version but they aren't an option as such. They are included. I firstly reserved SR RWD because I thought that all versions got the same. Having to spend an extra Ā£10000 to get what I want. There is the reason I expect. Cant see much demand for the SR RWD car

Did think about that myself. Couldn't justify another Ā£18000 to myself let alone the wife. Ā£10000 extra (ER RWD) will hopefully be a bit easier especially if the finance works out as per the preorder website

Do they have financing info up? Iā€™ve not seen anything. I am curious to find more info on this.

Yes. If you go to the preorder page and go through the routine to configure and preorder at the top of the page is a tab that says finance. Click on that and you get to put your deposit amount in select number of months (24,36,48) and annual mileage and it will give you your finance breakdown. Max deposit allowed is 35%. Worked out very nicely for me. Best of luck.

Just in case anyone else is interested, I have just had an email from a nice lady at Ford who has said that the 1881mm width quoted for the MME is EXCLUDING the mirrors. The overall width INCLUDING mirrors is 2097mm which makes it slightly wider than my Kuga so it looks as if I will have splash out on a builder to widen my garage. This is becoming an expensive exercise but I am sure it will worth it. I'll just have to keep it longer to get the benefits
