We have all driven many modes and different ways. What are your thoughts
about the best regen and type of driving.

I'm not sure what is "best" but so far what I prefer is one pedal driving in engage.

Just started trying with unbridled, but I think I prefer the steering in engage. Plus I think regen is all the same once you use 1-pedal (could be wrong)

If I wasn't using 1-pedal I'd personally still prefer engage.

Appears to vary by user and situations.
I prefer Engage with 1PD turned off. I think the reason is because most all my driving is local freeways with speed limit of 65 mph. Very little of my driving is surface streets. I have noticed a little strange behavior in my habits thought......or really just an observation.

I seem to prefer to start my trip in Engage with 1PD off and I make my way to the freeway which is usually less than half a mile away. Then I drive with ACC and LKA most of the way and when I exit the freeway I select L on the dial. That is sort of like 1PD except I will need to use the brake pedal for the last few feet if I need to come to a complete stop......and the vehicle will creep when desired. I usually leave it in the L mode until I reach my destination.

Then I end up repeating that process for my next trip.....Engage to the freeway, ACC and LKA to my exit and L to my destination. Driving in 1PD would avoid the step of selecting L if I could only get used to driving in that mode. 1PD used to make me sick to my stomach but I am getting over that now. At the moment my only remaining issue with 1PD is the lack of a creep mode and the hard jerk when accelerating from a stop. It is most annoying when backing out of my driveway because I park on a slight slope but the jerk appears even on level ground.

On the plus side.....1PD activates the brake lights when you lift your foot off the accelerator pedal.
With 1PD off....the brake lights don't come on until you press the brake pedal (even in L mode) so it might be a little problematic for following drivers. No more so problematic than following a manual transmissions ICE vehicle though......but it is different just the same. I have only tested the brake light thing in Engage mode. Whisper and Unbridled might behave differently. Just an FYI...

As far as I can tell......the various calibrations are all about the same as far as the vehicle is concerned. None are more wasteful or conservative than the other. The biggest factor that affects efficiency is the nut behind the wheel. ?

All modes are equally efficient with the same type of driving. Energy is used to speed up. Energy is captured as you slow down. Unbridled does this quicker, with faster throttle response and harder braking. Whisper does this slower, with a more muted throttle response and equally muted braking. If you use OPD and never touch the brake pedal, neither will be noticeably more efficient than the other.
In whisper I find that I don’t plan my stop soon enough. There is slower braking by the OPD and I find I have to use the actual brake pedal to stop at my targeted spot. Not so with unbridled. So for me, I’m sacrificing some regen in whisper, making it less efficient.

Good responses. I am sure this info will help us all. So it is
just about the same but it's how you drive. I still do not
understand what the gear L does for us. Thanks to all.

When you have 1PD turned off, L increases the level of regen when you take your foot off the accelerator. It's similar to 1PD, but won't bring your car to a stop.
Does the combo of L with the different drive modes also impact anything? Like does whisper L mode vary compared to unbridled L?

Also can you use L AND 1-pedal? Does that change much?

So many permutations to test!

L feels the same to me in all drive modes. But if you have 1PD enabled, L doesn't do anything.

After trying all of the different combinations of drive modes and 1PD on and off, I'm probably going to stick with Unbridled with 1PD on. I've averaged 3.9mpk in each version when using 1PD, and I like the extra bit of giddy up in unbridled. I might give engaged another try during my next cycle, but I definitely didn't like whisper as much as I thought I would, so that's out. And after using 1PD I'm finding it difficult to transition back to normal breaking. Too many hills and short City blocks near my house and I find myself rolling into crosswalks lol

As long as your brake pads aren’t working, they are all the same. It’s about the way you drive and your preference.
Personally, I have yet to drive an EV with strong enough regen for my taste.

It's completely subjective. I prefer to leave it in Engage with 1PD on. My wife prefers Whisper with 1PD off. My son prefers Engage with 1PD off. It's great that Ford lets us mix and match.
Has anyone requested the feature to make these settings driver preferences instead of vehicle preferences so it switches based in key or PAAK?

That is the intended operation. Those settings should be per user. How many user profiles to you have so far?

I have 3. Mine, my wife's and general. All tied to the 3 fobs that I use.
I don't use PaaK. I use my car frequently and it isn't reliable enough for me.

same here. I just don't like OPD. At least you can turn it off, unlike Tesla.
