I was driving on highway yesterday and heard the smallest of small tick sound on my windshield and then A pretty sizable chip! I replaced my 2009 Ford Escape with my MME prem AWD and Never had a chip! Heard many large hits that I was shocked it didn’t shatter let alone chip, same on wife’s 2010 Jetta VW. So obviously annoyed it was So Easy to chip. Will call Ford but assuming will just get it repaired/filled from insurance.

I've had lots of chips, especially in my truck. Most insurance companies pay for chip repair. I recommend you do it fast to prevent spreading.

Every single vehicle I've ever owned has gotten chips at some point. I think you're just looking at your chip luck running out rather than some super brittle glass conspiracy.

I got a stone hit my windshield from car driving my oposite side on a 55mph road (so both was driving at 60mph) the hit was brutal, I was sure it chipped hard my windshield, there was a big mark. After scratching with my fingernail, it appear to be all stone dust. I could not tell where it hit afterwards!

I'm over here balancing out the averages with my 2013 Escape. Replaced 2 windshields due to cracks, and I repaired a chip on the third one myself.

Maybe not many Prius owners on this forum, but beginning with the Gen 4 in 2016, Toyota used a thinner glass (for weight savings?) that is widely believed to be more prone to cracks. That is, a simple chip will spread into a long crack within hours requiring a complete window change. So, maybe just in case, Mach E chips should be fixed ASAP.
