I have located several Mach E vehicles available for sale in the Carolinas and Virginia. The catch is that each one of them have a $5,000 "Market Adjustment Fee" tacked on to the sticker. The tax credit was one of the deciding factors when I decided to purchase the Ford versus the Tesla. I just can't justify the purchase at $5k over msrp... Sorry Ford, it looks like your greedy dealer network will cost you at least 1 Mach E sale this quarter.

Hopefully you can find one for sale without ADM. If you are willing to wait, if you use a dealer that doesn’t charge ADM, even if they don’t have one in stock, you can avoid this problem by ordering a Mach-E instead of looking to find one off of a dealer lot.

Also, if you were recently cross shopping with Tesla, I would check their prices again, I believe the Model Y and Model 3 have had three separate price increases in the last several weeks.

I ordered a Tesla Y performance for $62k. I previously owned a Model 3 and was happy with it. I like the interior of the Mach E and the fact that it had a 100 year old company standing behind it. I'll keep looking for a Mach E at msrp. If I find one before the Y is available, I will buy it. So, we'll see.

also, how far are you willing to drive. There are a few dealers in Kentucky that are only asking MSRP.

I purchased mine from Felix Sabates Ford in Charlotte last month from stock, no ADM. I have a Star White SR RWD on order with a build date of the first week of June that I'm not going to buy. If you're interested, I'd be happy to pass along the dealer info. They are a no ADM, no document fee dealer.

It's a shitty business practice that increases consumer hatred for car dealerships.
I am curious how many of these dealers actually stick to their ADM guns. I saw one post on here where they cut it from $10k to $5k in pretty short order. The dealer that I test drove at dropped their $5k as soon as I said no way.

Unfortunate but true, been looking for a Xbox Series X or PS5 recently. They MSRP for $500 and both have been constantly sold out since they launched in the Fall.

They get relisted on Target, Bestbuy, Walmart, whatever, gone in literally two minutes and even then no guarantee your ‘Add to Cart’ goes through, often doesn’t. On the other hand, if I were willing to pay $700+, I could find one no problem on ebay right now.

Covid made the world crazy, people are still spending very little on services and experiences. All desirable material items are sold out or hard to find.

You haven’t looked hard enough. The dealers charging adm are the low hanging fruit. Look around more or order and wait on a 2022 model year MME. 2022? Yeah, that’s one reason for the adm on 2021 models.
