This is horrific. I am so sorry for you and praying I don’t get the same email soon. Supposed to take delivery in next 7 days and it was delivered to Kansas City on May 17th. I really don’t rate the tracker, it’s been awful for most. My dealer has been insistent that they don’t have more info than me but if it moves to October I may have to insist that they use this fabled vehicle visibility report
Mine was delivered to KC "ARGENTINE RAMP" on 5/13 according to palsapp

I got this email today. My car was built 5/22. Though it is the car I ordered. I since purchased a car off the lot but the order was never cancelled so its still coming in. I was kind of blown away. Wonder if it is from the chip shortage.

Mine is similarly delayed with the same dates. If it goes further I will consider another vehicle.

Yeah, same. Argentine ramp just a different arrival date there. What I can’t work out is what this is down to. Would they really ship a car without a chip hoping to install it at a later date in Kansas? Not likely IMO but I don’t understand what’s delaying your car. Maybe truck driver shortage??

Ah fuck, just seen you in WA too. Doesn’t bode well for me. Extended range infinite blue AWD ordered on July 14. When did you order yours?

Ford doesn’t understand that reservations/orders should be built in order. Not sure how you were down to take delivery despite ordering 4 months after me! Autonation Bellevue for me, will ping you if I get the dreaded email too.

I generally don’t fault Ford much for the lack of communication during this whole launch and first model year. But (you knew there was a but didn’t you?), in this case Ford needs to do a lot more than just send an “Oh by the way, your car that was built a month ago? Yeah, you’re not getting it until October. Cheers!” letter.

Unless the OPs car was damaged post production enough to require starting it over, this doesn’t bode well.

My mach e was built on 4/22, shipped on 4/26 and was estimated to be delivered between 5/30-6/5

I just got an email:

Your vehicle’s previous estimated delivery range of May 30, 2021 and June 5, 2021 has been updated to between October 25, 2021 and October 31, 2021.

Seriously? Did anyone get a similar email?
How would it take 6 months to just ship and deliver an already build car?? Does this mean there is an issue with the car?
I don't think I gonna keep waiting if it really will take that long
Probably the chip shortage is hitting Mach-es too. If it was Tesla, it would give you the car without the autopilot, cruise control or lumbar support you paid for to work around the missing chips.
Ford isn't that smart.

FWIW Ford ordered the parts to build the MME’s long ago and should have them. They knew the amount they needed ahead of time. I’m doubting this date change is due to a shortage rather either a mistake or another stop ship. Dealer Vehicle visibility should give an idea where it’s at and if there is a stop ship in place.

Sorry, hang in there.

Yeah, I tend to agree with this as Ford has not indicated the Mexico plant is one of them ones likely to shut down due to the chip shortage.

….and that’s the problem with the chip excuse.

No part means no production not slowed production.

As is always the case with ?Ford?, all we’ve got is our own speculation.

And apparently your crystal ball gives you perfect insight into exactly what happens in every Ford plant, meeting room, and supplier conference. Clearly the acres of assembled F-150's that are waiting for some control chips are as fake as the moon landings. Ford just doesn't want to sell vehicles, so they're making all this stuff up so they don't have to.

My car was built in April. Last Tuesday I got an email from FoMoCo saying delivery was pushed back until June 29. Thursday it was delivered to the dealership.
