Hi All!
We just got our Mach E last month and are loving it. But one huge pain is the Android Auto. When we were at the dealer they setup my phone for Android Auto. When we got home my wife created her own profile, her own FordPass account, and linked her phone, we both have Samsung S20 5G's. Whenever she gets in the car her profile shows up, but both of our phones are options and it always defaults to my phone and tries to connect. If I'm in the car with her it'll bring mine up and work, but if I'm not it just tries to connect and she has to manually try and select her phone. Do you know if it's possible to link the phone with the profile so it defaults to the person who unlocked the car/profile is selected's phone with Android Auto? It looks like the phone list isn't linked to the profile at all from what I can tell.
Thanks!
Dave

I don't think you can set it to be based on who unlocked the car, but you can set one phone or the other to be the higher priority, if one of you is the primary driver of the car

I did some more testing with it this morning, it looks like it always defaults to whoever was last in the car. I did deselect my phone as being a "favorite", but I assume whenever you get in the car you just have to go through the phone list and select your phone if you weren't the last driver. What's annoying is that if we both get in the car, and she's driving but I was the last person to drive, it'll connect to my phone it appears. So she has to disconnect my phone and connect her phone. I wish it could be controlled by the profile, just like the seat positions.

This is a little annoying. Both me and my wife use the car. Ideally, I would like my phone to be primary when my profile is on, and her phone to be primary when her profile is on. Seems like an "easy" feature to add.

If one of the phone has the app closed (killed) will it default to the one that has the app open? There are settings as to when the app can have access in the phone settings that you could play with also if just killing the app on one phone does not work. Make sure one phone is not running the app (try with both) and then move to shutting it up when it is not running if that is required. I read that not giving it access when not running will limit functionality a bit but so far I need it running anyway.

That does look like it works, but in reality isn't very practical. I've gone to always hard wiring my phone when I use it via USB, it flickers for 10 seconds or so going back and forth with bluetooth it appears but eventually starts to work. This also solved my problem of the wirleless charging pausing all the time.
