Replacing my roof glass (due to loose / damaged seal)

so many issues with this glass roof...

Kind of crazy...my wife has a cmax energi that has a glass roof and my friend has a mustang GT also with glass roof. Zero issues with both vehicles. One of the reasons I wanted the vehicle was the roof. Hoping this gets worked out.?

I feel your pain. Mine cracked 2 weeks after delivery. Dealer ordered a new one 4 weeks ago and I still haven't heard from them yet.

Was it covered under warranty? My flash drive from the dealership has corrupted documents so I haven’t been able to review. Still waiting on the dealership to resend…

My wife also had a Cmax with the pano glass roof. We recently sold it but never had a problem with the roof during 7 years of owning the car!

I don’t remember hearing anything. In fact, I only noticed the crack because I was showing the car off to a friend… was a little embarrassed to say the least

@ROBOHOBO Any luck getting your roof repaired yet?

The service department has it now. It's supposed to be done "any day now" but it's been a journey.

• 2 months from reporting the issue to the glass arriving in AK
• 2-3 more weeks to get an appointment with a glass shop that will do the work (the dealer here can't do it, and their usual shop won't touch it.)

The glass shop has probably had the car about a week so far, but I can only guess. My contact who was pushing the case forward is on vacation and the dealer is - last I heard - still trying to activate my TCU (modem) so it could be a while.

This worries me. Have had the car two weeks, this weekend when it was pretty hot out was doing maybe 40-50mph until I heard a large buffeting from the roof like it was slamming consistently, like something was on top of it.

Slowed down immediately and took side streets back. nothing was on the roof and the noise developed a pattern, sounded like the damn glass roof was going to fall off.

Seeing the cracks doesn't inspire hope, as we aren't even really into full on summer yet.

No. I'm having a hard time finding someone locally that is available to talk to. There aren't a lot of places here that do window tinting, and the ones I've stopped by to talk to had their doors locked and no one inside.

Ford customer service had me set an appointment at another dealership next week for second opinion/submission.
