After turning the car off, I lock the car, the side mirrors would fold but the lights would stay on for a good 10 mins and..

After turning the car off, I lock the car, the side mirrors would fold but the lights would stay on for a good 10 mins and I can hear the cooling fans running just like when the car is on. Has anybody experienced this? This is my 2nd Mach E and my other Mach e isn’t doing this.

Go into your settings menu in the car. Somewhere (vehicle?, general?) there’s a setting for the delay timer on the lights. Mine is set to 30 seconds. I’ll bet yours somehow got bumped up to 10 minutes. Put the delay where you want it, none or something below 10 minutes.

I’d go look in my car, but it’s a detached garage and it’s raining.

That was what I thought it was, I have it set to 10 seconds only. It is not just the lights that remain on, the cooling fans are running and too.

At the risk of asking the obvious, is the light switch in auto? Situations similar to this have popped up in the past and that’s often been it.

Other than those two I have no clue really.

That actually solved the issue, I switched it back to Auto and it fixed it. Thank you sir!

Theres also a light switch bug some people (like me) have expirenced where the lights will just turn on because the switch stops communicating. To fix this just turn the knob either direction then back to auto. Mine does it at least once a week.

this happened to me once and turning auto off and back on sorted it.
