10k maintenance pricing.

I am at 9200 miles take my mach e to San Leandro Ford for the paak recall done 10k service and the tsb about the rotors and wheel shake. It's 150 for the 10k service it's rotating and balancing tires for 150 is this what it should cost it sounds high. Plus they said done end of the day and call at end of day to say hopefully we will get it done tommorow. Why did I have an appointment at 8 am then. Is this normal ford dealership issues??

Sounds very high to me. My Ford dealer charges $53 for an oil change - we are just talking about a tire rotation and inspection (I can fill my own wiper fluid at $2 a gallon - thank you!) Perhaps you should inquire as to the charge for a 5K tire rotation and inspection for an ICE car. That seems as if it would be comparable. A quick google of Ford dealer tire rotation costs vary greatly around the country. I saw it as low as $11.95 and as high as $50. You can used your 22K Fordpass points for payment and Ford does have various discount coupon offers (not sure they apply to an MME). Good luck and look at alternative dealers as well.

I'll take my Mach E to Tireman every 5,000 miles for a free rotation as I've done for the last 20 years.

There's no need to give the dealer any money for this.

I've read many people paid 40-50 for the 10k. it's basically topping off fluid, rotate tires, and quick inspection of stuff if they even bother looking.

Ours has been rotated every 5k (roughly) and haven't needed a balance either. Currently a tad over 20k and the rotations are about $23 and the service with the cabin air filter was $55. Of course mine was a little less being an employee but not by much compared to retail.

As noted, there is an inspection component. IF I take mine in, I will insist that the EV-qualified tech do the inspection.

Given that The Works includes an oil change, tire rotation AND inspection, this should cost LESS than The Works.

I get free tire rotations done by Discount Tire, including checking balance.

I’ll be doing the tire rotations and the rest of the 10K stuff in my driveway. Cabin air filter will get replaced once, then it will be washed as necessary. Brake fluid change? I guess that’s something I’ll spend FordPass points on just because i hate getting rid of the stuff.

My AWD BMW dealer said don’t rotate AWD tires? So 150 to look at stuff is quite a price.

from memory of other posts I think it was under $50. but it might vary depending on where you live

No joke. I just returned my 530e M. Every maintenance no rotate. Done every 10k. Actually ended up being every 9k. But they never rotated tires.

AWD or 4X4 can eat through tires if not rotated. I have read BMW manual says not to rotate the tires but it just sounds like a gimmick to run through tires quicker in my experience between the auto industry and tire industry. At least a minimum of every 5k if not 3k depending on service intervals. But hey do what you want, its your car!

Just had mine today and it was $25. Not sure why they are quoting that high

Have my 10k tomorrow morning. Quoted $59 and they told me I can use my Ford Pass points to cover it.
