That sucks that you're getting a '21 in 2022. Doesn't seem right.
Tell us about it. I am one of many 2021 orders about. All we are wanting is a formal clarification on our models and a confirmation that our cars will be prioritized when and if the chips become available instead of building more higher margin 2022 vehicles as per Mr. Farley.

I really love how people jump to Ford's defense by pointing to other incompetent car companies or narrating similar bad experiences might have had. Have you ever heard of Detroit Lion fans pointing at the Jaguar fans and stating that are doing well compared to them? Don't put up with mediocrity and incompetency, we are here on this forum to challenge what's wrong and we don't need Ford apologists challenging our rights to do so.

Also for the 2022 customers, you are only dealing with 6-12 week delays. There are people with 2021 models that have been waiting for over a year for their cars. Last time I checked 52 weeks is 3-4 times the lead times promised by Ford. The '+' doesn't not give you a free pass to be incompetent and unprofessional forever. The only way you would understand our pain is if you sitting in Jan 2023 a year from now, getting similar updates for your 2022 models (and trust me I pray you never end up in our shoes).
I agree with you. However, I won’t be stewing if my car isn’t here next year at this time and still expected to be a ā€˜22. I don’t need it that badly to put up with that kind of crappy service.

For those with delays, which Mach E and options did you order? Wondering if there's a common component that is short.
I ordered a GT with the premium delay and deluxe postponement.

Now everyone in this thread once their vehicles are built, the next step is wondering if your dealer will sell it to you at MSRP or not!

Ford apologists?? I agree with your statement generally that a forum such as this can be useful in challenging missives and incompetence, but I think we should take a step back and realize how insidious the problems have been in this pandemic. Remember, there are hundreds of key parts that come from suppliers all over the globe, many of whom require suppliers themselves for various components. With he supply chain debacle and shortages/delays hitting nearly every industry, things will obviously back up at every stage in the production process. Surely Ford can be blamed for some of the turbulence in the process, but it would seem the lion's share of the pain we have endured is a direct result of worldwide pandemic impacts.

By now many of you have woken up to seeing your estimated delivery dates jump three months (in the wrong direction). Such a large estimating mistake, or logistics mistake, far exceeds last year's "chip hold" delay which prompted the extra free 250kw from Ford.

To help draw attention to this disaster, I propose referencing it in this and other forums as the Friday Night Massacre ("FNM"). This will facilitate cover in the trade publications, as in "... described in social media as the Friday Night Massacre, the massive disruption of ..."
How about where most of the chips in the cars are built is in the wrong direction. (China) I live not far from where Intel is being built, I embrace it coming here. We also have the nayer’s that don’t want it near them. So part of the solution, we need to stop being self reliant on other countries for our tech shop. Americans like ā€œcheapā€, so now you are going to have to wait on your product. I waited 1 year and 2 extra months for my Mache and never complained, because I understood the situation we are in and still are. For the extra 250 free charging, I’m grateful For Ford doing so. Does anyone remember back in the 2008 crash and how we all were affected including car manufacturers? Well, the Ford Motor Company didn’t take the loans the government gave out. They didn’t need the hand out. I feel they are managing this situation in a good faith business manner. So STOP venting in the wrong direction.

And Ford over-achieved for you. In addition to delivering both the premium delay and the deluxe postponement, they threw in at no extra charge doses of ambiguity and opaqueness.

Most don’t, point being; why patients is a virtue.
My point being, you singled out Americans, and blamed us for a universal human preference.

How hard would it have been to say: "People prefer cheap" or "Consumers like low-priced cars"?

Last I checked patients are only a virtue to medical professions. Patience on the other hand . . . Sorry - could not help myself.

It is what is Phil. How about ā€˜all’ walks of humans, is this better? So I’m not bothered by you picking my ā€œAmerican’sā€ apart! No matter how you look at, what we are dealing with now, the negativity response is not necessary. If someone wants a product do the research before ordering. Covid is still alive!
