I ordered a Premium ER AWD on 04/30/21. It was scheduled for production on 11/22, then pushed back several times and supposedly "built" on 12/10. But like so many others, it stayed in that mysterious "built" state for weeks and weeks, with the delivery date repeatedly pushed back, finally to 2/4.

In early January I was poking around a local dealer site and found the same exact car on the lot...with $5,000 ADM of course. Well, I received a nice little end of year bonus that I guess was burning a hole in my pocket, so after much debate with myself I went ahead and purchased it. At that time, having a car now vs. having a car someday was worth the extra expense to me.

Sometimes I think about the 5 grand I "wasted" and hate myself for it, but you know what? As soon as I get in the car I forget all about that! I'm absolutely loving it. And the dealer has refunded my deposit, so at least there's that.

I just checked the tracker for my original order this morning. Delivery has been pushed back to 4/12 -- almost one year after I ordered!! Kudos to those of you who are able to hold out. I just couldn't anymore. I can pretty confidently say you'll love the car whenever it arrives.

I can't say I blame you..I ordered mine on 10/31 and knew I'd keep looking locally, I just didn't expect to find anything. Somehow I did and I located the exact same thing that I ordered from a dealer about an hour away and I bought it - I didn't have the ADM you had, it might've made a difference to me...
Just last week I checked my order status on my original order (which the dealer still hasn't cancelled:mad:) and I saw its set for production 3/7/22. It would be nice to have a '22, but every time I drive mine I'm glad I have it now.

Especially whenever I drive past a gas station.

Depending on your situation you might consider taking delivery on your original order and reselling it to recoup some of the ADM. Either by selling it to Carmax, Vroom or Carvana. I was able to sell mine after six months of owning it and driving it almost 10K miles for nearly what I paid for it. I gained the tax credit for 2021. The only bad thing is that now I am waiting on my replacement GT order.

Meh. Not unthinkable at all. Less than optimally desirable perhaps, but it gets you a car sooner. Don’t worry about it, enjoy the new car, it’s the best car I’ve ever owned or driven at this point.

Just pretend like you got a full PPF and there's the 5k... My point is that people easily spend 5k in additional items after purchase.

It was from a bonus, and sometimes spoiling yourself is a great thing to do. The only negative, from my perspective, is that it perpetuates ADM.

Enjoy the car and stop worrying about it!

I may be doing my self more harm than good but, Im selling my car to Vroom and making a little money off of it. I ordered a Premium Space white Standard Range back in July and got it in November and I am now selling it to get a 22 model. It only has 65 miles on it. It has stayed in the garage most of the time. So I'm hoping to have my Premium Extended range Space white before summer is over. I know the estimated wait time is 28+ weeks now.

I hate you too, but got over it the day after yesterday.

Welcome to the family, pictures or it didn’t happen.

Lol I came across the exact same one I ordered even down to the color(Space White GTPE with all bells and whistle)at a local dealership and of course it's owned by a big wig with the dealership and no sale?. Smart marketing strategy on their part...."Come on down and test drive DA BEAST".... then order through our dealership.
Went down for a test drive and boy I'm telling ya folks, it will be all worth the wait. It was everything I expected and more watching all those gut wrenching YouTube videos.
Keep up with all of the forums in here, YouTube videos, mags, etc. and it will keep you entertained making time flyby quicker and better understanding product knowledge and questions you may have with current owners.
My order date 12/4 and no word yet of course and can't believe it's been 2 months already. Good luck Pony lovers!!!

My 10/25/21 order still doesn't even have a build date. I'm test driving a '21 AWD Ext Range Premium (I ordered the '22 version) tomorrow and am debating how much over MSRP I'm willing to go. Considering that the '22 will cost around $2,500 over the '21 just on MSRP, $5k ADM on a '21 stings a little less than it could. Congrats on your purchase!

Hey, this is the most important thing. This is the Internet, so there will always be those who rain on your parade. Just ignore them.

Wise quote from a silly movie called Confessions of a Shopaholic… “You want your scarf, I want my hotdog. Cost and worth are very different things.

Short of it is that others will see that this purchase cost you $X, but only you will know the true value of your enjoyment. Cheers!

Btw, that’s a sick color on the GT PE. I considered it for a long time but ultimately decided that I wanted to be *that* obnoxiously orange car on the road! Lol
