I did -- many times. I also flew our last flight into Kai Tak before it closed. Shoot an instrument approach to an apartment building. At less than 500 ft above ground make a 50-degree right-hand turn, roll out and land. While descending at 800 feet per minute. And moving at 180 mph. With a left crosswind. In an airplane that weighed over 600,000 lbs. Fun when the weather was nice though. :)
Yep, that runway 13 Checkerboard Turn approach would get my heart rate up every time.

I did it in the 747 with Tigers and the MD11 at FedEx. The MD11 was a handful there (and pretty much anywhere until Boeing bought Douglas Aircraft and made software changes). The 747 was a gentle giant and a pleasure to fly imo.

Years after the fact, I liked the IGS approach; at the time though ... yeah who needs coffee to get your heart rate up.

My hats off to anyone who did that approach and had an airplane you could reuse afterwards.

I couldn't help noticing it's a Grabber Blue Premium -- no red brake calipers. Probably a test track special edition missing the FE special parts.

But it has the body color wheel lip moldings and mirror caps like a FE would. Interesting.....

How about St. Maarten? I wasn't on the beach, but on a boat alongside the approach in the water. Both scared the hell out of me and thrilled me at the same time to watch a big jet come over.

Cool video. One of the best parts for me was seeing the vehicle height there, with multiple people getting in and out. Granted, most of those drivers were fairly short (especially the women), but still, that was fairly promising. The one woman slid straight in with no bending down at all. I'm taller (6-1) but doesn't look like it'll take much bending down.
Nice catch. I wasn't thinking about that and now need to rewatch.

Kowloon Hong Kong on the watch. Nice, I used to get the absolute best deals on real Seiko's (a large Seiko actory was there) as well as some high-quality knock offs in Hong Kong. Best Rolex knock-offs? Taipei. :)
Hanging out in Tsim Sha Tsui? Always a good deal to be found.

Maybe it's a loose camera position, but these drives look like they are getting a very bumpy ride in there. Maybe the pavement in uneven or something.

I noticed that too. Looks like that old parking lot has become quite neglected and bumpy. But also looks like maybe just cell phone video without professional photographers and use of stabilizers. Just a guess.

The interior shot also shows blue stitching on the seats. Maybe they ran out of red paint for the calipers.

Any comments on the panoramic glass? It looks to me to be doing a pretty good job of blocking light.

Looks promising, although light level in photos is often deceiving because the camera adjusts it.

But relative to the bright side window light, it looks good.

Until McDonnell Douglas bought Boeing with Boeing's money?

Watching some of the shorter women getting into the drivers seats of the Mache looks like the seat is close to butt height for them. I do not like low cars so this makes me happy.

Maybe one of the cars that gets torn to pieces prior to OKTB? Why paint the calipers for that? Idle speculation. I'd not believe me either.
