Ford Mustang Mach-E Fully electric home, Crazy or Brilliant? 95702BA9-5260-4E8C-B65C-548C0FD62FF5

After my wife’s Stang arrived I am fully electric… am I crazy for doing this or is this the future? I will say my electricity went up by $40 a month charging both.. which is a savings since I was spending $400 in gas a month.. but I am yet to go on a road trip..

thoughts?

I'm hoping to move in that direction as soon as an electric pickup truck with a decent range is available to purchase. We have solar panels to help offset some of our electricity usage.

We installed solar panels right after we ordered our MME, hoping to offset our carbon footprint a bit. Still waiting for our car to be delivered, so we'll see.

When my Lightning arrives (hopefully summer), we get rid of the 2003 Tacoma and the 2016 Leaf. We will have nothing in our house that runs on gasoline and the Lightning will pull our travel trailer.

Not crazy. In a pinch you could rent something if need be.

That black-on-black MME looks so damn good. We can't put any tint (legally) on the front windows here in NY.

So far the Mach E life has been pretty good. It also helps that I installed two level 2 charges at my house so we don’t have to fight over charging

As soon as our R1S comes in, our hybrid Highlander will be gone and we’ll be electric only as well.

You’re in Miami?

It’s crazy if you don’t have a hurricane evacuation plan. Hitch a ride with a neighbor?

Haha no brother, in Miami you only have to evacuate if you live near the water, which I don’t. No evacuating in my near future

I’ve still got a truck for doing truck stuff. But for most weeks, we’re all electric with two Mach-E’s and have been since March. With two level 2 chargers at home, you should be living the dream.
NOT CRAZY.

Your guess is a good as mine - probably sometime next year is my working assumption.
