The ride is stiff and bumpy, I admit. Bumpier than any of the many cars I've owned including 4 prior Mustangs. But it's bumpy enough to give my wife a headache with any drive over a half an hour. So, we will always use her Lincoln Navigator for any drive more than 30 minutes.

Bummer.

It'd be interesting to be able to do a large scale survey of ride quality impressions of the Mach E and what car they used to drive. We traded my wife's Subaru Legacy for her Mach E and I'd say it's on par with that. I drive a WRX and the Mach E's ride is significantly better than my WRX.

My Outback had a much better ride. I agree, you will feel all the bumps with Mach E. It's my first "sports" car, so I guess that's par for the course.

Technically, it's classified as a truck, not a sports car. I've had 4 prior Mustangs and when I was young I was contemplating a GT instead of a regular Mustang so I asked my insurance guy about the difference in cost for insurance before I ordered the car. He said, "A Mustang is a 'sporty' car, a GT is a 'sports' car. You can't afford the insurance on a sports car."

I had a Harley like that. My girlfriends loved riding on the back. But my Wife hated it.

Classified by whom?
My insurance company (Farmers), for one. Some states, like Florida, classify it as a truck when registering it. My Edge was considered a truck and so was my Explorer. This is the case with most SUVs.

I've been driving trucks all my life. Have had a few cars too: Priusesesees, various Subarus, Galaxie 500, Cougar RX7, Honda sedans, Toyota sedans, Sienna, VW Golf, Plymouth Laser, etc., etc., etc.

I've never had or driven a luxury car.

The Mustang Mach-E drives somewhere in between all the other cars I've had. Not quite as harsh as a pickup truck, but nowhere near as boaty as a Galaxie 500.

But one of the worst things ever is to be a passenger in an uncomfortable ride. Being in control of the ride makes things much better.

Has your wife driven the Mustang?

The truest measure of a truck is if it has body on frame construction, trucks always have this feature and anything less is just a cheap imitation no matter what an insurance company says.

What tire pressures are you running? I found mine at 42psi from the dealer and lowering them to 37psi made a considerable difference in the ride.
Actually I recommend 32 psi. I did that in the front tires in my GT and it is much smoother. I bet it will make a big difference in the Premium as well. It will hurt range, but not by much. The range hit is probably around 5%.

So does that go in the benefit column? ?

Clearly air pressure has something to do with it, but it's also what you're used to. I drive an F-150 and love the ride and so does my wife. No issue with the Mach-E. I keep the tires at 39 just like the door sticker says. F-150 I kept them higher than the door sticker, but recently lowered them with new tires.

Bumpy ride? Never had such a complaint from anyone who's ridden in it.
