I've never seen that banner.
I hadn't either, until I started I had never seen it. Now you have brought the Sirius curse upon yourselfI've never seen that banner.
yep I started getting it too since the 2.3 update, annoying.Ever since the latest OTA 2.3.0, whenever I start my car I get an annoying banner that says "Sirius preview" at the top of my main touch screen. I don't subscribe to Sirius, I don't plan on using it ever, and there's no way to get rid of the banner other than waiting what seems like an eternity.
Has anyone else seen this? And if so do you know how to prevent it from showing up?
#useless response. It's quite easy to remove the banner. Just follow these instructions:
1) Get in vehicle.
2) Put foot on brake, push Start.
3) CLOSE EYES.
4) Wait 30 seconds.
5) OPEN EYES.

I've found if you swipe up too early it does this and comes back. Seems like you have to wait for some point in the boot process before swiping up dismisses it completely.Yesterday, that banner wouldn't go away. When swiping up, it would come back down. Couldn't get to my settings without going through the driver's assistance shortcut. Also, I didn't find a way to remove the banner yet...
This happened to me as well. I was trying to put in an address as it popped up. Had to turn off the car, open the door and start over. Makes me want Serious XM even less. I stream my music using Car Play anyway.I've found if you swipe up too early it does this and comes back. Of course I don't know what that point is so sometimes swiping up dismisses it and sometimes it comes back...
Yeah, I get that too. I figure it's just the beginning of what will be an endless supply of advertisements. We're seeing it now on new TVs. Ads pop up when you turn it on and at random times. It's inevitable that car manufacturers will do this to ad a revenue stream.
Will it be included in the frunk release OTA or the BC OTA???? ? ?It is not an ad, it is a bug. There is a fix being included in an upcoming OTA, not sure which or timing but it is coming
