I read a lot of negative posts (stuck 1.7.1 looking at you!), but I thought I'd post a positive one...

Dropped my car off last Thursday for the roof and windshield recall. Loaner car was ready and waiting. They had a few other Mach-e's in for the recall also.

Got the call today it was ready. Took a total of 8 days - mostly due to the glass company not having appointments available for a few days. Picked the car up today. Could not tell any work had been done, except for a suspiciously clean windshield and a very faint smell of glue. No marks on the liner. Everything put back together*. No obvious misalignment of the gaps. Really happy with Mike Bass Ford's work.

*The reason it's only almost perfect was they had to order a replacement for the grab handle above the driver door that will take a few days to get in. They must have broken in at some point in the process. They'll call me when it's in and it will only take a few minutes to install.

Mine took 14 days but the work was excellent. Glass company took the pano glass roof completely off which at first freaked me out since the recall doesn't require that. I found out after inquiring that the glass company wasn't satisfied with the original install and felt it would cause wind noise. It's now way better installed front seam wise then when I drove it off lot. Zero wind noise now when I used to have fairly loud wind noise (like window cracked open) before

My glass windshield and roof recall were completed perfectly. The dealer, Leslie Motors in Harriston Ontario had a local body shop perform the recall. They cleaned the car in and out. They also added the rubber gasket at the top of the windshield which provides reduced wind noise. Very pleased.

Very interesting. I was going to ask in general, did people find wind noise increased or decreased after the recall. I have the Ford installed "gasket/wipe" to help reduce the noise, which it did. Not eliminate, but better. I was thinking this recall could be an opportunity for a more permanent fix, but sometimes, this kind of repair attempt makes things worse. I hope my glass people are as fastidious as yours were.

Yeah, it's night and day now with mine. Super quiet now. I'll admit, was a little scary seeing the car apart to that amount. They put it back with no breakage of headliner parts

Picked mine up this morning from having the glass recall done. The only issue is that the driver’s seatbelt seem to be dragging a bit when pulled to extend it. I’m sure they’ll take care of it.

My dealership is scheduled only 2 a week. Dropped it off Tuesday picked up Saturday, with a loaner in between. They forgot to clamp down the back seat, but I was five minutes away anyway and it took almost no time. There a couple dirty spots on the headliner I noticed later, but overall pretty uneventful.

About 3 months ago, I called Brandon Ford (Brandon, Fl) to schedule the two recalls They said I would be 10’th on the list and they were having a hard time getting the glue.

Is this a local issue or a nationwide issue? If anybody wants to talk to PM they can.

Excellent job done by my dealer as well. First - thank you to Jim Hudson Ford of Lexington, South Carolina. Professional and friendly service in my encounters. It was taken in for the windshield and roof recall. The glass work was farmed out to a glass company, who did an excellent job. Both the interior and exterior were in perfect shape upon pickup (yep - I took "before" pictures to verify). Also - I have 20% IR rejecting ceramic tint installed on the windshield. The glass company didn't damage the tint at all.

In addition to the recall work, Hudson completed the 21P22 software update, replaced the driver's seat track (dragging noise when adjusting seat), replaced foam seal around rear glass spoiler (a couple of foam tabs were sticking out) and did the 10K tire rotation and inspection ($24.95 paid with FordPass points).

Total time with Ford - 9 days - but they had to wait on some parts. My service manager called at least every other day to give progress updates. Luckily, I have held on to my Prius V; so no rental car needed or used. I took her out for a drive this morning to assess road noise and performance. Perfect job done!!! PAAK did lose it's connection and wants a reset, which I will do when I have the time (I always carry the fob). I'm happy! Now that the windshield is taken care of I can get the dashcam installed!

I dare anyone to beat this for a timeline :) I took my car in for the brakes to be looked at as some scoring on the discs. Advised to drive without opd and use brakes more to see if the issue goes away. Anyway, they mentioned that they could do the roof recall and windscreen replacement today as the parts were in for the roof resealing and spare screens were in stock as all 4 they've done so far needed a new screen, and the screen fitter happened to be in today as well so all finished and back home with no trace of any work other than brand new screen.

They said there's also 4 possible types of screen fitted.

Definitely a reduction in wind noise as it used to start around 30mph and now does not start until 65-70 mph which is what you would expect. The software had been updated previously due to some electrical gremlins.

It took less than a day for the pano roof, windshield, and software updates (21P22) on my car...

BUT, I had to schedule it 7 weeks in advance! So you've definitely got me beat there.

In Roanoke Virginia - When I called dealership for service I was transferred to someone that knew nothing about vehicles or recalls. Could not answer any questions or advise how long it would take. Clearly it was an answering service reading off a script. When I arrived at my appointment they had no clue what I was there for and clearly were not prepared for the undertaking of this recall. I asked the dealership if they had performed this recall before. The service guy didn't even know about a recall. After few minutes of conversation I realized that they had not and I decided I did not want to be the first. After that I told them I just wanted my 10k service. He then asked me "so just the oil change" yes genius! You work at a Ford dealer and do not know what a MachE is? Now I will live with the recall notice forever as I do not trust them for anything. Might have to make a trip to South Carolina @GW Shark

My experience was similar; I'd say perfect as well. Took about 2 days, gave me a replacement car and the job was done right.
