I went to Performance Plus Tires and Automotive Superstore in Long Beach off Cherry. As for wheels, look at Curva Concepts, I put 265 wide front and 295 rear. I I had to do it all over again I would probably just do 255 or 265 all around
Thank you, i’ll check it out. What size wheels did you go with?

Here is my opinion on wheels. In manytmost cases 20" tires look a bit chunky. 22" looks the best, but are pothole fodder. I went with 21" as a happy medium. However, 21" tires as a whole cost more than 20 and 22. They just dont make very many in that size. I went with a square setup i.e. all 4 are the same. 245 looks a bit too skronny. 265 I think looks perfect, but I went with 255 which still looks decent and should have less rolling resistance and weight than a 265. The most perfect match to the factory diameter is 285/30/22. Im not sure if that will work on the front tho. What make a wheel look big? Color onstrast with the tire and spoke design. Black wheels, especially dirty ones, look smaller than other colors. You will really want an open design with spokes that go to the edge to avoid the small wheels look. Black wheels 19" and under on a Mach-e look like steelies in need of hub caps. Offet and width determine how far in or out the wheel sits relative to the fender. For the sake of the Mach-e, the larger the offset, the more inset the wheel of a given width. For a 9" wide wheel with 255 tires, +40 offset is flush to the fender. +45 would set the wheels in 5mm more. Well, there's a little insight.

Thank you for the very detailed information!

Another "almost perfect match" would be 275/40R20 tires, on 20"×9.5" rims. Correct offset is the key to getting them to fit. I'm having a set built as we speak...ready in 3-4 weeks.

What are your offsets going to be?

I greatly prefer hubcentric wheels, which means that the bore of the wheel fits the hub of your car nearly perfectly. This way you are not relying on the acorn lug nuts to center the wheel on the hub. You can get hub centering rings, but I avoid those when I can. Avoiding them does limit your wheel selection tho. Manny people run non-hubcentric wheels without issue.

That is perfect. I actually put the wrong aspect for the 22". I meant 285. I corrected that.

What are your offsets going to be?
I would love to know that...but my wheel fitter says that that is proprietary information. I know that the fitment MAY be different, front-to-back. I suspect that the offsets are in the 35-38 mm range, BUT I DO NOT KNOW THAT!!! My fitter, Terrance at signaturewheel.com, specializes in Mustang fitment for the company.

He did guarantee that I would be able to "rail it in an autox", with no rubbing.

What offset will your 20x10.5 wheels have? Why are you going with such a wide wheels with 275's?
not sure the exact offset that was on this build - i like the deep concavity that you get with having wide tires and wheels - more aggressive

After my 1st attempt at fitting a larger wheel didn’t work (forum members reported using 20x10 with a 47mm offset, WHICH WILL NOT WORK), I hired a fitter who HAS installed bigger wheels on a Mach-E GTPE. The mfr. recommended wheel width for my 275/40/20’s is 9-10”. 10.5” would be too wide. I’m using 9.5” with the same size tire. Also, why would you use spacers? Spec your wheel with the right offset and no spacers will be needed. The correct offset is CRUCIAL.

The guy at Tire 59 in Houston fit it precisely with the 2mm spacers - the point was to fit the largest wheel for the most concavity possible while still clearing the calipers

I agree the widest for most concavity gives it the best look. Anyone done a 22 x 10.5 setup in the rear?

Spacers seem like a bad idea...correct offset/backspace negates the need for any spacers...not that "precise".

That's absurd. You can just measure it when you have the wheels. It's hardly "proprietary."

I bet Tire Rack even publishes it. ?

Don't be foolish...it says in my post that I haven't taken delivery of the wheels yet...so I can't measure the offsets at this time. Before delivery, if they won't tell you, it very much IS "proprietary". You let me know what the link to the Tire Rack info is...Yes?

Just because Signature Tire thinks its proprietary doesn't mean it actually is.

But by all means, buy into it. ?

Tire Rack lists all the offsets for the wheels they sell. How hard was that to look up?

https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/res...+AWD&autoYear=2022&autoModClar=&package=false

For the record, I think Signature Tire is doing some good work, but they should be banking on their by-all-accounts excellent customer service and quality wheels, not fake proprietary info. There's no magic in offsets.

Glad you know your stuff...now, let's see, the Tire Rack info for the Signature Wheel SV104 20"x9.5" offset is shown WHERE, here? I must be mistaken, but Tire Rack doesn't seem to carry those wheels. Must be because they're CUSTOM, with no stock offsets or backspaces...they're built specifically for each individual car/tire/wheel/planned usage combo. And what gave you the idea that my wheels were from Tire Rack? How hard was that to look up?????
