I would say 90% of dealerships around me actually have L2 chargers and some even have up to 50kW DCFC... HOWEVER, these are generally not for public use but rather to charge up the cars they are delivering to customers. Additionally, they seem blocked about 75% of the time with dealer ICE vehicles. I've seen this so much that I have put an official request into Plugshare to have a "Dealer" tag and a filter to not show them. I do not want to see a charger at Chevy dealership show up in Plugshare or Ford NAV and then not be able to use it when I only have 10% left. I'd rather filter out all dealers. With the new Ford E Division they may be trying to avoid dealerships, but.. I would not be surprised if Automakers do not start investing in charging stations at dealerships. Basic infrastructure is there and they tend to be near major highways...
I don't think dealerships are the best answer here, but as someone else noted, 50kW chargers at restaurants like Denny's, Chili's, BWW where you can spend 1hour+. I'd like to see 150kW chargers at most rest stops. 15 minutes of hitting the bathroom and getting coffee would give you a little boost and get you 2 hours till the next rest stop.
