Two questions.

1. So, i check my car and it says "Your up to Date", with no other information, and i have sync version 21174-168. Can i assume i'm at power up 2.1 and not 1.7.1? The widget app says the 2.3.0 OTA update failed to install on 1/25/22.
2. If the update failed, could i go back to the dealer and have them update it?

I did have 1.7.1 prior to the "your up to date" message.

I did ? and I’ll happily admit I was wrong on that early prediction. I believe I modified it later to say that only a few (I think I said one vehicle that would be upgraded via FDRS) would be done by March 31. Seemed like a reasonably safe bet at the time, given the track record ? and so far, we are still looking at a small set of EA VIP. I’m just spitballing here (because I’m too lazy to look up the numbers) but I think there are roughly 20K job 1 cars. Again, I’ll spitball because Ford doesn’t break down sales by trim and guess that maybe 1/3 of those vehicles are BlueCruise capable (all FE/Premiums and some Selects). So, perhaps 6K cars to upgrade with BlueCruise. And we aren’t even considering the most important upgrade - remote frunk release! ?

The Dealer won’t do anything as long as the car works.

No, that would mean setting up EAP and non-EAP responses to each row, or maybe 3 to include VIPs. If you want to see that level of detail, this 2.4.x poll gets into those.

If you can't turn on the "auto update" then, you are among the rest of us in the 1.6 "failed to update to 1.7.1" void. Likely happened in November but won't be fixed until January... no wait, February... no wait, March... no wait, April...
