Yeah, they removed it a while ago. The 50A would likely be fine, but if you ask them, they recommend the 60A for the MME, which is likely why they didn't include the 50A for the discount.
Ok cool, I was thinking it changed but wasn't sure. The inconsistency and wavering is just another reminder about why safety standards are useful.

Yes. Destination chargers are at hotels, grocery stores, etc. Super charger network are the brightly lit ones in groups of like 8 or more.
@OrchidMania Maybe change the graphic for this thread to eliminate the confusion.

Maybe a picture of a Tesla Wall Connector instead (used also for Destination Chargers)?

How often do you guys expect to use the adapter? I am trying to decide if it will be worthwhile. I have owned a Bolt for 2 years but never taken it on road trips since it DC charges so slowly.

The Mach-e will replace our last ICE car so any road trips will now be electric. Looking around on Plugshare it seems like many hotels have both j1772 and Tesla destination chargers or nothing. I know one can be full while the other is available but I am not sure if that is enough justification for a $220 adapter.

If you're looking to have the adapter pay for itself in savings, don't bother because it won't. I've used mine a couple of times, and it was nice to have, but it wasn't necessity charging and didn't save me any money. But I'm still glad to have it.

It's not so much savings as value.

If I am on a road trip that is overnighting at a hotel that only has Tesla destination chargers the adapter would make it possible to start out the next day at 100%. The other scenario would be a hotel that had both J1772 and Tesla destination chargers and the J1772 were full but the Tesla destination chargers were available.

I just don't know if either situation will ever occur.

Hi All

I am not too familiar about this product but the Picture on top of this post got me thinking. I was told the tap does not work with the Tesla Network chargers but the pic shows a Tesla charger with a Black MME connected to it?
I live near by Walmart & see lots of those Tesla chargers. Will the Tesla Tap work there? Thx

Only you can answer that. I like having one to keep my options open.

That's a picture of a Mach-E owner trying to use an adapter at a Tesla Supercharger unsuccessfully (@Administrator , can you change the pic?). These adapters will only work with a Tesla Level 2 destination charger.

I've used mine 3 times in the last year.
