For long period of time while in FL I did not get anything at all ... I did all the recalls, PAAK update and 21P22 ... then voilá I became Ford lost son !!!

You‘re not the only one. This happens to be the week that those of us in the second EA wave of the BlueCruise rollout are getting the updates. I’m pretty sure that the reason we’re getting them this week is not because you’re traveling.

Yes, Sir ... what I meant was the updates were not done while connect to WiFi ... nor through any cellular services either ... I believe it was done through GPS satellites. I have noticed that in Bergen Co. NJ I got more GPS satellites coverage than my place in Windermere FL ... don't know if this is relevant or not.

Yes, Sir ... whether it is a coincident or not ... I love it ... it takes out the drudgery of long drive and deal with the never ending NJ traffic jams and potholes !!!!

Don't be frustrated ... I never got any update whatsoever while I was in Windermere .... and all of sudden I am now on 2.4.4 .... others have commented that it has nothing to do with location ... but to me it is very exciting to meet all these Ford Care Angels at every other EA charger and getting my OTA while parked randomly at parking lots after a long day driving !!!

Same. Nothing for me yet either. I drive 90 miles round trip 5 or more days a week for work. Getting anxious lol ? I’m about to hit 30,000 miles. I need my BC LOL

This reminds me of that time when my sister was visiting me in Arizona and she was so excited that her cell phone was able to make calls in my state.

I got 2.4.2 a couple days ago. Haven’t had an update since though. I was hoping for the 1 update/day.

Both. The key is the car has to be awake. You likely rarely get a Wi-Fi update because your car goes to sleep.

Some owners keep PaaK active, and even when in their house, for instance, the phone never drops the bluetooth connection so the car stays awake for extended periods. There is enough of a "wake" window to have a WiFi PowerUp download succeed. Some of the PowerUps also need a few Start Button on/off cycles to complete, i.e. Windows will reboot a few times to complete this update.

I do leave FotdPass running in the background on my iPhone and It’s usually connected to the vehicle. I’m still trying to get a better definition of “sleep”. I’ll leave the car “running” all the time if that’s what it takes. I always leave the vehicle plugged in after 6:00 PM

No ... that is not true. Once I have scheduled the updates, say every day at 02:00AM ... I started to receive update instructions ... little icon next to the vehicle, at upper left hand side and all I did was to accept now... then I was told to shut down, lock the doors and within next 35 minutes I got a message on my FordApp: Update Successful !!!

I have updates scheduled every day of the week at 1:00 AM (to stay far away from the 12:00 issue). I should have about the biggest window possible (23 hours/day) to get updates.

I got 2.4.4 today. 2.4.3 yesterday. The only thing I noticed different pre update was the ford pass and systems updates stopped showing yesterdays update as new since this morning … instead of staying on for days. I am thinking or speculating that new update is scheduled once this msg goes away or vice versa.
