Not sure if I should be worried or not since I don't want any delays to happen when my vehicle is scheduled for build week 5/2. I contacted my dealer and Ford support and they both said there are no flags about the park assist and as far as they know, will still be built with it. Hopefully, that's true. Just don't want any hiccups closer to my build date.

I received an email from my dealer today about my order asking for my agreement/acceptance on removing the Active Park Assist 2.0 feature and replacing with the Active Park Assist Prep Kit. The exact wording I received is below:

(Begin Email)

From: Sales Manager

"Ford has asked us to contact our customers with unscheduled Mach E orders. Please see the communication from Ford below. Please reply to this email letting us know that you are now aware of and are OK with the spec change.

A semiconductor shortage has impacted the ability to produce the vehicle with the Active Park Assist 2.0 feature. In an effort to get the all-electric 22MY Mustang Mach-E SUV to your customers sooner the vehicle will be produced and delivered without Active Park Assist 2.0 and instead has an Active Park Assist Prep Kit.

Description:
  • Active Park Assist 2.0 - a handsfree experience which takes over shifting, steering, braking and acceleration to help navigate into a parallel or perpendicular space.
  • Active Park Assist Prep Kit - enables the Active Park Assist 2.0 feature to be purchased and installed by your Ford Dealer at a later date. (Note: the module post-purchase price including installation is under investigation along with the estimated timing for when parts will be available). All vehicles with the Active Park Assist Prep Kit will receive $325 credit and will be reflected on the window sticker for the removal of Active Park Assist 2.0. This is reflected on the window label as "ACTIVE PARK ASSIST PREP KIT".
(End Email)

I responded quickly to the Sales Manager and accepted the Prep Kit changes. Not sure if this will impact my priority or scheduling, as my order was February 5th 2022. Will update if I get a VIN or a build date, but not holding my breath.

Possibly, I can check your status like I did with Melancholy if you have your Sales Code/Ordering Dealer Code and Order Code. The dealer code usually starts with an "F" and then five digits, the order code is usually four characters with the first character being a letter. (A121 or whatever).
I greatly appreciate any assistance.

Right now I only have an Order # of 11578230 and "Ford of Kirkland (WA)" as "Your Dealer."

Should I be bugging my salesman?

Yes bug your dealer to get their order number and dealer code

Yeah, guessing it's just something in how they printed that out, maybe because yours was back into a pending state after the change, but your Priority Code is 10.

EDIT:
Ha, I see what happened. The dealer has to put in a position priority code, so position 1 is 1, position 2 is 0. They first put in position 1 and 0 and position 2 and 1, so you got a priority code of 01. Then they immediately reversed it. I can see it in the order history.

Mystery solved!
Thanks for looking into that for me! Athough it did slightly crush my hopes and dreams haha

I received an email from Ford confirming the changes, see below. Still a priority code 19 and no VIN.

Nothing from my dealer yet. But did notice that the Active Park Assist disappeared off the Additional Features on the website with no Prep Kit as replacement.

Curious, does it show the Prep Kit online under additional features for those that already had the change made by their dealers?

I just ordered a GT last Monday. This morning, the "Active Park Assist 2.0" feature disappeared from my reservation page on the Ford site. It was there yesterday. Progress???

i was informed by my dealer that they have removed that function from my order, and are giving me a $325 discount since the car won't have it.

he said maybe that will help get my car built. i kinda laughed.

Spoke to my dealer and he said that Ford was removing it automatically on some orders. Mine was removed automatically. We will receive a prep kit and a credit.

Hey BluePony,

My order was a dealer order so I can’t see it online, but the dealer sent me the printout of the order above and it shows the prep kit as you can see.

Tl;dr: Call the Ford Marketing Support line to confirm your order status if you haven't been scheduled yet.

FYI, providing my experience with this. I called my dealer on Thursday (3/24) (in hopes of getting scheduled for May (ordered ~20 weeks ago) and asked them about my order status. They said everything was fine. I even mentioned the "active park assist" change needing to be confirmed and the salesman said there was no issue with that. I decided to call the Ford Marketing Support line on Monday and they checked the order status and said there was a 'compatibility issue' that was keeping my order from being scheduled. I asked if they could provide more information or fix the order, but they said I had to call the dealer. I immediately called my dealer and mentioned the compatibility error on the order and the salesman worked with the manager for ~30 minutes to manually update the order. I called the Ford Marketing Support line and confirmed that my order looked "good" again.

This is incredibly frustrating as this most likely kept me from getting scheduled for May production. Also, who knows how long my order would have sat there with the compatibility error which would further delay my order being scheduled. Obviously the dealers have no idea what is going on. Also, I would have never identified this as an issue on my order without this forum (thankful for this).

On the bright side, you'll now hopefully have a Job 2 MME if it's pushed out just a little bit!

Just noticed if you build a Select with Comfort/Tech Package, it adds the Active Park Assist Prep Kit automatically online.

At this rate, I'm not sure it's a good thing. More and more amenities are being removed.
