Just and FYI if you want to get 'rooked' while you are sick of waiting for your current order, they will be getting 4 GT (standard) next week.
Bring the KY its going to hurt.

I'm not sure how this helps Ford's 'Brand'.

Meanwhile my premium AWD EXT on order since October 1 keeps losing 'premium' features. Its closer to a Select than it was a few months ago LOL. Are we on the precipice of calling this a 'fiasco' instead of an inconvenience?


FYI you need to sign a release for agreeing to the removal of the Automatic Park feature for your current order if you haven't. Contact your salesperson to get the PDF so you can agree to have your car's feature removed.

Not surprised at all.

My local Ford dealer in Upland, CA quoted $20,000 on top of MSRP for a SELECT trim MME.

I told the salesperson, I'd rather spend that on a GT.

He laughed and said to order online for a 32+ week wait...

I called them after reaching out online they texted me to call them to discuss a sale.

We spoke at length to a sales person to inquire about current stock etc. (Ford.com indicated they had stock arriving). The sales person said yes GTs were arriving next week. After asking about if they accepted X-plan why I was looking (my 10-1-21 order keeps getting delayed) and what the price was. I was told 84k. We discussed that this was an idiotic price, and I could buy two cars for that. The sales person agreed. I was kind and told them I won't be part of any dealer that does this and wished them good day, but not good luck.

Got it. I got the same quote. Although I got a different response on a Gtpe earlier in the week once it was actually on site. So who knows what they’ll agree to in the future.

I’ve been telling people to avoid Phil Long forever. They have been about the ADM since day one.
I bought a Ford Ranger from them in 1990, and used them for service a lot (Littleton location). Then in 2012 I won a new Jeep in Black Hawk and wanted to trade it in for an Escape. Started at Phil Long, and they sucked. Usual games we get from the sleazy dealers. Walked out and went to Lakewood Ford instead. Much better.

Now I live up north and use Interstate Ford. Happy with them. Got my Mach-E a year ago from them with X-Plan honored.

My dealer is awesome, however I'm just seeing if I can find something on a lot in the meantime. I had no clue these guys were the Shit-lords they are.

Yikes. With that sort of markup, you could scour the entire country for a car at a more reasonable price and have it shipped (or drive it home.)

I just checked in with my local Dealership, Capitol Ford in Santa Fe NM, and they are selling at MSRP.... there is no stock, so you'd have to order and wait, but they.ll sell with NO ADM

That is a key distinction -- ordering (and waiting many months) vs finding a rare one in stock for immediate purchase. Driving off the lot same-day is worth a lot more to many people in the current tight market, thus why the higher price. Someone that really wants that vehicle will negotiate a price and it'll likely be gone within a week (if it's not gone already).

I can't really fault a seller for getting the most they can out of a vehicle if there's buyers willing to pay that much.
