Ordered a Premium E4X 10/1. Still no word on a production date.
It's now been over 6 months, and between reading posts here, and seeing what has been *removed* from the Premium trim, I somehow convinced myself that with as little as I drive (I work from home), I could save $$ by getting a Select AWD.

Okay, so here's the fun part. Asked for quotes today from a range of dealers in the greater Denver/Colorado Springs area. As expected, I got notified quickly with the same stories:
1) "That vehicle is already sold."
2) "We might be able to find one but expect $10-15k ADM"
3) "We have a 2020 Tesla, do you want that instead?" *um, NOPE

Then the phone rings. It's Phil Long Ford in Denver.

Dealer: "Hi Jason, HOW DID YOU FIND THIS MACH-E? It's still in production and not even in our inventory yet!"
Me: Um, it was listed on Ford's website. Do you have it? And do you honor X-Plan?
Dealer: Yep! Because we are getting this one direct and it hasn't gone into our system yet, I'll give you X-Plan."
Me: Really? Can I get that in writing?
Dealer: Yes, you'd just need to put down a deposit.
Me: SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY.

They sent me the contract with X-plan discount, and I hope to see the car within the next 2 months as it's currently in production.
It's a Select AWD with Comfort/Tech package, Ice Blue Metallic. Not exactly Grabber Blue, but still blue!

Now excuse me while I go buy a sh*t ton of PowerBall tickets!

Isn’t this the same dealer that has seen two threads posted recently. Both saying they’re pretty shady?

Here’s one

make sure you get your “in writing”. Score they get your money.

Congrats! May your experience with Phil Long be better than mine.

I was originally told that it would take about 3 months to get a MME in. Once they had my deposit, that became 4-5 months, and now it's 10+. The Phil Long Hyundai salesman was a total ass when I asked about the Ioniq 5.

6 week after ordering the MME, while I was watching delivery times increase, I ordered a Model 3. The estimated delivery date has actually gotten shorter. While I still prefer the looks of the MME, the M3 will definitely suit my needs.

No, this is up in Denver. And I have it in writing, including the $733 discount line item for X-Plan.

I'm no fan of their service dept. This is the Denver location, and they sent me the window sticker and VIN already, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this car actually exists!

Good for you. My wife and I have bought 4 cars through Phil Long, but my last experience was almost enough to make me swear to never drive again. Glad to hear that they are treating you well.

Unfortunately, they are the only game in town down here in COS. I utterly DESPISE their Service Dept to the point where I wanted to file a BBB claim with them once. Hopefully, this will be a better experience.

I'm in Colorado Springs but bought mine in Loveland. That's where I've bought my last couple Fords. No nonsense and honored X-plan.

I too have opposing Ford Dealers. One that I love the sales guys but wouldn’t use the service guys to repair a bike tire. One that I love the service dept but wouldn’t buy a stick of gum from the sales dept.

I have such mixed feelings reading your post. On one hand, I am so happy for you, and hopeful. On the other hand, you've been a regular poster in the 10/1 adventures thread, along with me. My order is in the same state as yours, and we ordered the same thing... at this rate it feels like I'll be the only one posting there in a few more weeks.

I admit I've been perusing the inventory listing from time to time, too... interesting to know that vehicles in production are being listed. I assumed it was either vehicles on the lot, vehicles that are due to arrive shortly, and vehicles that were just sold and not yet removed from the listing.

I hear ya. With everything that’s been pulled from the Premium trim, the reduced range of the Select AWD just isn’t as much of a factor when compared to the savings. Add in that most dealers want $10k ADM or more, I just figured I’d shop around and know that my Premium order is still out there.

One trick (I think): the vehicle I came across had a “Dealer Ordered” banner on it. All the others were accounted for.

I've had a similar experience all around, except I am otherwise a Bronco reservation holder who has had Mach-E leanings all along. Approaching a year and half with no Bronco in site, my eyes have turned to the Mach-E. I used the a similar technique, stalked the Ford site and found an AWD Select with almost everything I wanted in a Premium. Just last week, I too put a deposit down and have been offered X-Plan pricing on a car that should be here in about a month. I called several dealerships about other Mach-Es and found either cars that were already claimed or wanted a large ADM. The more I've looked at the Select, the less it feels like a trade off.

When I ordered, Ford said 28 weeks give or take. Well, it’s been over that now, and still hasn’t been scheduled for production. The one I hope to get should hopefully be here in a month or two, depending on whether or not there are any parts holds.

This is especially true when you consider what feature(s) have been pulled from the Premium since December. Add in the lower insurance cost, plus slightly higher efficiency of the Select, and that cost savings will cover a LOT of DCFCs.
