Yes. I ran all three variants through USAA.Have you actually verified a lower insurance cost by giving them both VINs?
I’m going to keep that order active for now, and will post updates when (and if) they happen. My dealer told me yesterday, and I quote… “well, if it doesn’t get scheduled this year, you’ll get converted to a 2023…”Well congratulations! Us losers in the 10/1 order group will miss you![]()
If you're asking about the Model 3, I ordered on 2/14 and have an EDD of 4/24-5/29 (Originally 5/9-6/6). No idea what it is today. Once the wait on the MME went up to 10+ months, Phil Long (Motor City in Colorado Springs) stopped contacting me with updates. How long is the wait?
If it's being produced this month then it might even have Park Assist, which your unscheduled Premium will not. I'm also ordering a Select with Comfort/Tech and am super grateful I made that decision knowing the scheduling advantage it has over the Premium-- should be getting it around the same time as you. I had a similar thought process-- extended range battery, glass roof and premium sound system all seemed nice but not dealbreakers-- everything I most wanted in the Premium came in the Comfort/Tech package. I'm also resistant to the AWD upsell so went with RWD to save $$$ and range. This is especially true when you consider what feature(s) have been pulled from the Premium since December. Add in the lower insurance cost, plus slightly higher efficiency of the Select, and that cost savings will cover a LOT of DCFCs.
