just to clarify, you went from the stock 19 to aftermarket 19 and then to aftermarket 18 with stock tire size and found those to be the most comfortable?
Exactly I like the ride of the 225/60/18 the best. I have Vredestein Wintrac Pro mounted on factory select wheels for winter. They are considerably more plush /smooth and quieter than the factory Michelin 19" wheels and tires. Also the profile of the foctory tires is smooth and low rolling resistance you can switch to something in the same size with more of a performance edge to improve road feel and handling.

I do own a set of 245/45/20 and they will be installed in the next few weeks as summer tires.

Thanks for the input all! I think I’m going to go with 19” wheels, but 245/50 tires instead of the 225/55 stock size. Overall diameter should be the same. I decided on 19” as opposed to 20” mainly because of the Oklahoma roads.

I ended up with a set of 19x8.5 Niche Sector wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 245/50/19 tires. Here are a few before and after shots. I’ll probably post some cleaner shots after I get the calipers powder coated, which is next.

You are correct that 245/50 & 225/55 are the same diameter on a 19” rim but a different diameter then a 225/55r18. I think a 245 requires a wider rim then a 225. Maybe a half inch wider.

The 245/50/19 is almost exactly the same overall diameter as my stock 225/60/18, which is why I chose that tire size. I also went with 8.5” wide wheels, .5” wider than my stock.

I didn’t know from your post that aspect ratio of the stock tire was 60. I agree they are the same diameter.

If you change tire diameter on an EV does it self correct the shown mph on the speedometer?

Great look. I am on the fence between 20" and 19". How has the ride and range change?

No, keep in mind that you GOM and m/kWh will be off too is you pick a different overall diameter tire

225/60/18 has an overall diameter of 28.63
225/55/18 has an overall diameter of 28.74
245/45/20 has an overall diameter of 28.68

some close optional sizes

245/55/18 has an overall diameter of 28.61 (may need a wider rim)
245/50/19 has an overall diameter of 28.65
275/40/20 has an overall diameter of 28.66 (would need a wider rim)

One thing about width check to see what the tire manufacturer says the tread width is because it varies.

If you are asking me, the ride is definitely better. It seems to track better if that makes sense, and is firmer (in a good way). I decided on 19" because Oklahoma has horrible roads, and I didn't want to push the ride quality too far. After driving for the last couple of weeks on 19", I think I could have gone to 20" without a problem. As for range, it's really hard for me to say, because my car is so new, I don't really have a handle on range.

What about the TPMS, has it recalibrated to the new tires/wheels? I'm guessing you went from 18" to 19"?

Yes, I went from 225/60/18 to 245/50/19. TPMS is working perfectly.

Tpms settings in the car are not user-configurable, select 18" should be 38psi from the factory
19" factory and 20" factory is 39psi. The thing is there is not enough difference to trip the sensor.
