Welcome to the brick club.
33 days at the dealer total for me.
Most of the time it would start if pushed back a few meters ( yards)…

Haha, that's possible. I get you now...

Forbid they have more than 1 right?
What if that guy quits or gets sick?
My dealer ordered the parts before the car reached their lot because I left a voicemail with the DTC codes and the parts it would probably need.

I think it was important to find a dealer not afraid to drop the pack and open it up... This ain't the same as doing oil changes on an Escape.

Have you yelled at Ford to give you attention? Have you told your dealer to start buyback process now?

No one wanted the codes I pulled sadly!

Sounds like parts on the way at least!

*Updates* page 1, most recent below

4/6/22
This afternoon I was pleasantly contacted by a higher up at Ford in Detroit. He was very candid and was a breath of fresh air to talk with about my issues and the likes and couple dislikes of the Mach E and the servicing infrastructure. He set my service center straight, has the right parts shipping quickly and has assigned a travel EV technician to be on-site for the repair. This may be an indication that Ford is taking seriously the growth that's needed to go from a strong new market entry, to a truly competitive EV force like Tesla. I hope to be in touch with him in the future to give meaningful feedback should he find what I say has value. He did seem to be entertained that I was able to read the manual better than the dealer service tech and point to the specific page of diagnosis. ?

Well,
Buy back not as simple I think in Canada and then getting another car. I I asked for compensation.
I got a reply less than I asked .
They offer either extended warranty or service package…..
But options are still mine if anything more happens.
I leased so not mine at the end .

Cool, thanks for the link!

Found it interesting to read about how the SoC of the LVB affects the minimum permissible temperature exposure. You'd think there'd be a couple chemists working at Ford to relay to the software engineers the need to proper program the LVB charging cycle.

I wonder what component is failing in the HVBJB

If we're getting welded contactors id imagine it has to do with the precharge sequence. Either a mechanical inconsistency or it could be software that occasionally doesn't sequence correctly the precharge.

I told a good friend of mine about the stuck HV contactor and he immediately suggested a failed precharge event that led to an arc, welding it shut. He knows nothing about the Mach E, but he did design the entire battery management system for my first EV pictured below!

His specialty is BMS for EV aircraft. He's worked for most of the pioneers in this sector and is one of the few genuis' I know. He also happens to be a pilot.

Gotta hope that doesn't throw a "Stop safely now" code!

Actually... lol the interface wasn't refined (on the earlier prototype) when I first flew it in Germany and I bricked it on final approach while stupidly fiddle-f$%^ing to get some display indications back that froze.

Caught all of it on video! The look on my face hilarious when I realize I lost all thrust and was I trying to recall the sequence to re-engage the system thinking I had to dead-stick the landing. I was able to reboot on short final, did an awesome touch and go and got to fly out some more under a full moon at a German airbase!

It might not be welded contractors. It might be blown fuses inside HVBJB and that is a good scenario because it reduces the risk of fire.
